Hi everyone. I hope you all have been safe in your different countries. I have stopped checking all the world statistics, so I'm hoping your numbers are coming down. In Australia we have just over 100 deaths and about 7,000 cases. I know we've been lucky here. I'm currently working at a coronavirus clinic where we do swabs all day. It's very tiring because we have to wear a gown, disposable shoe covers, gloves, bouffant surgical cap, mask and helmet. Everything except the helmet is thrown away between each patient and of course each room is sterilised with bleach between patients. I definitely need to be fitter to do this job..... I still feel like I'm still wearing a mask and cap tonight!!

Enough raving about myself. Happy birthday to How old are you again? (Just kidding)..... and congratulations to and special hugs to Starlight!....Ah you are so lucky! I never have had long-lived cats. :(

I have a senior kitty, too! She is 15 now. She's had some health issues this year, though, and it's aged her, but up until then she was like your Starlight, playing like a kitten with our other cat.

I have to take my little girl to the vet today. She just started scratching her left ear and infected it. She is an inside kitty only, so don't know what is in her ear. I put triple antibiotic ointment on it until her appt.

, we just got back from the vet. I had to stay in my car while they took Starlight in. They said she was a good girl and she is a healthy girl, except she has an ear infection. They gave me antibiotic drops to put in her ear, twice a day.

She has to go back for a follow up appt to check her ear and make sure the infection is gone. They will send me a notice for that appt.

I'm glad it is just a simple ear infection and not anything too serious! Does she take her ear drops well? My senior gal will not let us medicate her in any way! She's a real squirmer!

She is being very good with me giving her the drops. She just cries a little, but I gave her a few snacks afterwards. I hope the drops aren't burning inside her ear. It's probably very sensitive down there. I have to do this for 10 days, twice a day. I feel so bad for my little girl.

I'm glad Starlight only has an ear infection and that she's being a good girl when you administer her drops :) I hope she feels better soon!

3 of my 4 cats required pills in their last few years. They were good about taking their medicine for the most part, although one of them would sneakily stick it in his cheek and spit it out later if we didn't keep a close enough eye on him! Cats :P
