To make sure I understand what happened:

1. You put all of your pets into the resort, using the feature that puts them all in at the same time
2. All of your pets were at 10/10 Hunger and Happiness at this point
3. You removed your Gourmand pet from the resort, but left everyone else in
4. ALL of your pets changed to 9/10 Hunger and Happiness immediately after you did this
5. They changed to 10/10 Hunger and Happiness within the next few hours on their own

Is this all correct?

Did this all happen within the same day, or across several days? When you say they ticked down to 9/10 some time after you pulled the single pet, that was within a couple hours, right?

I know this is frustrating but I do want to note that programmers are aware of this issue with pet hunger/happiness! I apologize for the wait and the inconvenience. As soon as there is more news, there will be another post.

Hey, thank you for the reports, we acknowledge the issue. It looks like around 8/24 is when the resort hunger/happiness issues got a lot wonkier for some reason we don't yet know - and 8/25 was our first report of a pet being at 0/10 hunger so this issue has been bumped up in our priorities.

I've just deployed a fix for this! Let's watch it for a few days and please let me know if it seems to be working correctly or not from here on out.

The resort is supposed to keep your pet at 10/10 hunger and happiness, and the way the previous code did this was:

1. Do the hunger and happiness decay for all pets
2. Then set hunger and happiness back to 10 for all pets that are inside the resort

Unfortunately, this was why the glitch described by this bug report was possible. If it succeeded in step 1, but step 2 failed for any reason, then resort pets would have lowered hunger/happiness that hour. Doing it in two steps like this was also not efficient, since the second step is undoing a lot of what the first step did, which made it more prone to failing at seemingly indeterminate times (lagging out because it took too long or was putting too much strain on the database, etc)

So what I ended up doing was entirely refactor/rewrite the code for this from scratch so that it is a single step, and move it into the newer half of our code base. Now resort pets are entirely excluded from the hunger/happiness decay, so this glitch should not be able to happen anymore.

Thanks for letting me know. Made another tweak to the fix, and changed your pets to 10/10 hunger and happiness manually in the meantime! Please let me know if any of your resort pets still drop from 10/10 hunger or happiness from here on out.

Tysm! I... made a mistake trying to manually set happiness to 10 earlier, and ended up only setting happiness to 10 for resort pets who had hunger less than 10. I'm not a morning person lol... Should be fixed now!

If you just booked your pets in the resort, it should kick in on the next hour.

Which pet?

Oh wait I think I see the issue. Your pets were at 0/10 before you put them in the resort right? I had been confused about what's supposed to happen here. I'm going to make it so that pets get set to 10/10 for both hunger and happiness when they are checked in :)

(And once that's fixed, I'll manually set both to 10/10 for all pets currently in the resort, so you don't need to check out and back in again.)

Ooh okay, you put them into Rathskeller Inn, not the resort, right? I forgot about Rathskeller Inn, I'm gonna look now to make sure that Rathskeller Inn also makes your pets happy and healthy on check-in :)

However, your pets' hunger and happiness shouldn't be dropping every hour. Have you noticed any drops happening?
