Hello everyone, I hope you are having a good weekend so far. Has anyone heard from lately? She used to message me on a regular basis, but haven't heard from her for quite some time.

Hi I haven't heard from or read comments from Ciebreeze in awhile.

Bears does anyone know how to get a hold of Ciebreeze?

Nope boredom not to be had here, I am always doing something. I know your chinchilla cannons keep you busy and your other wonderful pets.

It is not a good time of the year for Cie, she often takes a break around now. She contacted me about 6 weeks ago and I haven't heard from her since. Unless Covid has got her she will return. I have come to understand and accept her absences after 11 years as it is the way she is and the way she is able to cope. I never any questions as to why she was not here just am thankful that she returned.

Hi Sydney, I figured it's better to ask, than keep wondering. As long as she is okay, that's all that matters and Chook ie baby says she heard from her about 6 weeks ago. Thanks!

o.o I'm always surprised on how many hours of cutscenes there is in those games. Have you played the game or the original? I played the original 15 years ago, and the remake when it came out this year. At first, I was a bit sceptical, since it's pretty linear and there's not much space for exploring or experimenting in battles when you're on one of those more linear parts. But then again, I didn't like the Midgar part of the original either, because I like forests, fields and caves more than cities and lots of metal. But the graphics look awesome, and although I'd love another turn based Final Fantasy, I did enjoy the battle system. I also liked that the Avalanche characters had a bit more personality now. In the end, I decided I really like the remake, and I'm looking forward to part 2!

Also, I really liked this analysis of the animations of the old version vs the remake

Whoo! 19 hours is a Lot! Imessed up my sleep with just the 15. (and I'm not as much one for audio books. I Need the paper. The sounds and voices I hear in my head when reading are always different than what they put in the audio version. :( )

I know! I found a video of the entire game play, and it was like 26 hours long. O.o"

It's been so long... I think I just watched a friend play the original some. What really got my into Final Fantasy was back in the old days when walmart had games out where random kids could come play them. I don't remember which game it was I had fun going back to the store to play was, but I Do remember a fond memory of my best friend and I watching FF Advent Children on the bus to and from a field trip. ^_^ <3 Good times!

Between forests or cities... I don't think I have a preference. I just enjoy where I am because I get to play those characters. :)

I have FF XIII, and I had fun playing. I think mostly because a friend at work was playing it too (and my sister was playing it). I don't really remember what exactly went through my mind, but I got to a point that it seemed no matter what I did I couldn't get past because I hadn't prepared my characters well enough, but had already saved. I am TERRIBLE at tactical games. I love them. I love the stories, the action, the art, the voices. But if it's more than some healing potions, I'm not that great at them. ( ;) More of a smash 'em type girl. I'm great at simpler games like racing, mario, or lego. Doesn't mean I don't appreciate the others though.)

From what I saw, I love the Avalanche character's personalities! ^_^' Wedge is so sweet! Haha!
(Just realized! Did he make it out of the building surrounded by ghosts?! I don't remember it showing that!)

Ooooh! So That's what some of the comments meant by a 'part 2'! ;D I'd love to see that!

:) Going off to watch that comparison! I'm already pretty sure I'm going to like this remake better though. (thanks for the link!)

Oh so I am not the only one who doe that with a book. Like in the harry potter series, the whopping tree. I had envisioned a tree that would look like a weeping willow, I was so visually disappointed.

I actually haven't read the books perse or seen entire movies, but I've looked into it enough that I thought it was a weeping willow too. '^_^

^_^ Haha! Great! Now I don't have just the voice actress for Aerith's game walkthrough, but this programmer's walkthrough too! I'm really curious on their viewpoints. Thanks for the vid link!

Final Fantasy has been around for so long! I too remember playing with my friends. It was one of the first RPGs that I played and it completely sucked me into the RPG genre. Hmm, but playing in Walmart pretty much means that you can't get very far into the game, right? Because the games are so long, and require saving in between sessions. In Walmart there's lots of other people to mess with the save files. I would be so frustrated at not being able to continue where I left off.

Ah, yes, I remember some pretty difficult boss fights in FFXIII. It's a pitty that it's possible to get yourself stuck by saving. Having to start over once you're halfway into the game is not very motivating. And back then internet guides weren't really a thing. Today I'd just try to look up how speedrunners do it, since they're usually hugely underleveled.

I wish they'd release some Mario games on Playstation. I'm not really into the very realistic racing games, but the Mario ones are awesome! I don't own a Switch, so I'll have to do without :/ I could buy a Switch, but I already don't have enough time to play the other games that I have. I never tried the lego games, but I heard some very good things about them!

The original FF7 had 3 discs which you had to swap out once you progressed the story. I don't completely remember where the disc swaps happened, but I do know that the remake only covers part of disc 1, so there's still plenty of story to be released. I think they were thinking of making at least 3 parts for the remake. On one hand it's a bit of a bummer, because we're basically having to buy 3 games at full price to get the story that was in only 1 game originally. But with the updated graphics and voiced dialogue, I can understand that they need a larger budget to do it justice. The soundtrack is amazing too. When I walk around in game, it sounds exactly like the original. But when I go to youtube to listen more carefully, there's lots of parts to the music that are new. It's amazing how they captured the atmosphere of the old game so well and recreated musical tracks that have enough "old" in them to recognize, but at the same time contain completely new things.

As far as walmart game play, yeah, there's no saving and it's random where you are in-game. But I grew up with usually only being able to play on outdated game systems. If I wanted to play anything new, it was usually at the store. I didn't have a friend that had me over to play some games until late middle school.
But I really enoyed the taste of the games I could get. :3 There were even games we could play at my churches youth area. I remember going to play the Star Wars ep I podracing game every week. It was frustrating because the saves would be redone every week almost, but that just gave me another chance to get the best scores. ;)

As for the rest, I Really want to comment, but honestly can't put thought into coherent words (used big word! and sooo many misspellings) this late. (it's 3:00am here) I'm gonna head to bed, but I hope we can talk about this more later! :) G'night!
