My house looks so nice inside, I took the opportunity to sort out each room that got painted, long over due and then shampooed carpets. My 2 cars got shampooed, too. I want them done while weather is still warm. Shampooing a lot of work, but loved all the results. I wish my dogs would eat more veggies, but he seems to have a bit of sweet tooth he cured with watermelon, tomatoes, apples and cantaloupe. Ultimate favorite is the watermelon. So far he hasnt discovered the limes growing on my lime bush, I had another dog that loved the limes.

That is great news! Oh I know finals can take a toll on your energy and your brain feels fried. Well enjoy your break, and try not to think about school.

- yeah, I try to rest a little and spend more time with my bf. Unfortunately it's holiday season here and the country is under super quarantine, so I can't see my family.

What country are you from? I am from the USA and my hubby is from Egypt. Sorry to hear you cant spend the holiday with your family! Try doing activities with BF that are not school related. I always tell my sons, when the were in college and stressed to go act their age but do it wisely. I know hard to do with quarantine.

- I live in Israel, and unfortunately the pandemic got so politicised that people stopped believing the gov and the doctors, so it spiked here. And yeah, we try to take our minds off of everything. I started cooking my fancy stuff again, and will probably try to write again.

Yes that is happening here to. Government officials at all levels tell you want they want you to know, plus election campaign for President is going on. So we are getting a lot of false information. Keep busy with things that you enjoy in these times are very important for morale. For me its crocheting, and listening to audio books. But since 27 July we have been working on our home painting, repairs, and more.

I wish we would have done all the work on the house, when quarantine started. I think it would have been a good way to keep us busy, and not worry.

- well, who would've known that it will be as long as it is. If we knew six months ago what we know today, we might've been in a much better place.

I know hopefully they would stop miss info sources like government officials and media, and started restrictions sooner, and kept them strictly enforced. I hate how that sounds, but if we had we might be in a better place and have it more controlled. Exactly so how that silly dog chewed on them I have no clue. I hope the shampooing going quickly for you, I was pooped when I finished each car. But was so happy with results.

BHH finally was nice, and I got

:) Happy news! <3

George the cat The cat I had mentioned previously has been found!

So, it was about September 17 that our my parent's my dad's outdoor/ indoor cat George disappeared. He would visit multiple times a day and sometimes stay the night. We had been worried, but we were also thinking if he found another home and was healthy and happy and Wanted to stay there we would accept his decision. Thing is, we couldn't find him. We checked the pound, multiple animal shelters... nothing. Then on Friday the 25th, after calling more shelters, I went over to a nearby Office Depot to get some copies made for a 'lost cat' sign. (I, personally, regret we didn't do this sooner, but had hopes he would just show up.) When the lady had finished ringing up my buy of 10 copies, she told me she had put in an extra 20 and said she hoped we found our cat. <3 I honestly believe if it wasn't for her, we might not have found him. That night, my dad and I put together some plastic seals on the posters and taped them up so they could be up for a while and not have rain destroy them. The next day, my sisters and I stopped by their house to pick up our sister/ exchange student to go get stuff for her b-day party with friends later. My parents were out on their walk putting up signs. Next thing I know, the house gets a call from my mom to bring some food and water. They found him! :)

Thing is, he apparently had a habit of going in to an empty house right behind my parent's that had a cat door. Well, workmen had been in the house last week, and boarded up the cat door... with him still inside (probably hiding). If we had not had that many posters, my parents may not have had enough to get to that street. If they hadn't, the neighbors to that house may not have seen the posters and told my parents. One of them, he said he had seen a cat in the front window on Monday. He had been locked inside for over a week without food or water. (presumably, unless he found some mice)

When my dad went up to the front of the house and started calling him, he heard meowing from above. George had found his way in to the attic and was in the eaves, but still stuck. The boards were rotten, but my dad was able to pry them enough to get a can of tuna in for him. Then we refilled it with water. (Yes, I know now that tuna was probably not the best choice, but it was the only soft food I could find on quick notice.) The house had been forclosed, and the bank(?)/ owners said they could get out there until Monday. We're like "ARE YOU CRAZY?" So my parents called emergency and the fire department came. :3 I honestly never thought I'd see the day the fire department actually rescues a cat. Hehe!

So the firemen came and figured a way to open the door. My dad went in with them to help get George to come. :) Later that afternoon, we brought over our cat carrier and my dad took George to the vet to get checked out and get a microchip put in. It would not have helped him in This particular situation, but might if anything else should occur. We put one of my parent's dog's puppy collars on him with the vet tags (it's easy release). So he's now collared too. (He's not a big fan.) ^_^"

And that is the story of how we got our cat George back with our family. ^_^ <3

Extra: My dad (and I agree) believes that their dog, Pepper the dachshund, was trying to tell us that she could hear George in the house behind them. She had been looking over by the fence and whenever he would call for George, she would perk her head up and stare in that direction. Us stupid humans just didn't get her signals. And That, my dear friends, is why you should listen to your pets and use their natural hunting skills. ^_^'

Yaay! <3<3<3
