I agree, being nasty towards the staff is uncalled for and not cool. :) We can agree about that. :)
Again, I agree that being nasty towards staff is not okay. :) My concern is from reading the staff posts that without the proper backups there is no good way to know what is missing. I hope you are right tho, and that will find a fix. :)

When we do get our items restored, is it possible to get some kind of list of the items we got back?? I was thinking a sidebar notification that tells us our items have been restored, with a link to a new plain text page that lists each item. I understand if that's not possible or a priority.
Reason I ask is because I'm now starting my subetalodge list in the middle of all this and want to know when items are sneaking back in so I can add them 😅
I just woke up and want to thank Bug for not only working hard as a programmer but reassuring us with answers in layman's terms.
How about opening the Pawn Shop to spend our free CSC on? 😺
There's too much stress on all of us right now and more people are spending time on this site to try and relax, so it's both OK and understandable that people are going to vent their frustrations. Those frustrations have been validated and staff isn't coming on here to say "well it is what it is, deal w/ it". You can be frustrated at all those other users that have a DAMN GOOD reason to be pissed and vent that, but don't attack them - your words about people lashing out at staff (or a particular person). I think it's been great that they've allowed people to vent.
I'll definitely be keeping my own backup over at SubetaLodge from here on out. I can't tell what's missing and I only briefly glanced through my CW's in the new wardrobe before it started irritating me (the new wardrobe itself). The only thing I CAN do right now is just sit back and wait for the resolutions to come, hope there is more incentive for people to stay around during this frustrating time throughout the world and on the site.

I am going through SL and comparing. If i find new ones where do I send the item name too?
There is a link in the original post for you to create a list of items you find you're missing :)
I don't have time to scroll through all of the replies on this board, so if someone could be so kind: does anyone know if this affects everyone? I haven't been in the new or old wardrobe at all since the new wardrobe rolled out.
The wording of the post makes it sound like someone could remove something from the wardrobe, and it could be deleted from "other users' wardrobes" -- as in, from any other random user, even if that user wasn't the one who removed something.
I want to find out if I should be messing around in my wardrobe to see if something is missing. Again, I was not in my wardrobe at all since the new wardrobe rolled out, so can someone please let me know if this means all my items are safe? If you could ping me, I'd appreciate it. Thank you!

unfortunately not from what I gather. Everyone's wardrobe was impacted whether they used the new one or not.
However, the players have put together a list so you can check to see if these commonly missing items are also missing for you: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1N4UBmEx3hXDSvUhAmpbzEKjhfoe-X7ShyeagNmK8gNo/edit#gid=177197654
Oh crud. >< Okay well. That really sucks but thanks for telling me. Time to find a system to review.
I just appreciate that the staff is allowing us to put in reports even if we're only 90% sure we had an item, and that they're apologizing and owning up to the error without equivocation. Accidents happen and it sucks. I guess I'm just going to go through the item list in the wardrobe and look for stuff I recognize.
Really appreciate you taking the time to respond. Happy hunting to everyone else!

Going from the Google doc in progress, I am not missing too much for SP items. The one thing I am really disappointed about is the Piglet background (it's a tribute to Winnie the Pooh)
[item=Dappled Unicorn]
[item=Great White Shark]
Nevermind, a friend messaged me and told me they can see their reported items, so I must not have sent the report. ❤️ Thanks!

Question About The Report Form:
Are you supposed to be able to see items previously reported when you navigate back to the report form?
Because I thought I reported several items last night and when I clicked the link to get back there today, I don't have anything on my "Items you've already reported" list.
Thanks!
Chrome user, latest version.
It might be a good idea for the Subeta team to amend the original post (or announcement, or both, whatev) explaining that yes, this could affect anyone who didn't use the wardrobe in that time period. People still don't get it.

This is seriously mind-boggling because everybody seems to have lost their Slicing Light items while all three didn't get affected in my wardrobe, they're still there!
In these troubling matters i'm thankful for Bug's responses to the community. While, I may not agree that they should be the ONLY staff member responding to this issue, I have seen it be a trend over and over for to be the spokesperson/damage control in these situation. Anyway, thank you so much for responding to the users and easing some of their frustrations. It's much appreciated.
Thank you so much! I found a few by referencing the spread sheet. I appreciate your insight.
Thank you for how you're handling this, I hope everyone can understand that you're doing the best you can. I appreciate the effort it takes to correct something like this, and I'll try to figure out what's missing if I can. I can't pretend I wasn't angry when I found out, but in all seriousness this is a digital site and much more important things are going on our world today. I know that the more time you guys spend on the forums, the longer this fix will take. I for one would be happy to get a daily report perhaps, but other than that, do what you need to do guys! :)
Oh! I do have one question. How will items be returned? I would like to know if an item is returned as part of this process so I don't have to go back through to see what's back and what's not.
As a note to my fellow subeta users.. Everything on this site is pixels, 1s and 0s. I am invested in it, I have spent time (so much time) and money here, but what truly matters is not the items I've collected but the people I've met and the fun I've had. I think a lot of users on here should try to remember that these are not real life goods we're buying, and to only spend what money they're willing to donate to keep this site running. We need to treat each other and the staff with respect, mistakes happen and I'm confident that the staff will do what they can to make it right. They have already said that the item reporting will go on indefinitely, and I'm happy with that.
Stay healthy guys, I'm thinking about going for a walk today to get some much needed fresh air :) :) :) <3
Your@SubetaTeam Thank you for your candor and stepping up. Bad things happen in life this is small compared to the Coronavirus, so I appreciate your post and planned measures that will safe guard the site going forward found and taken so rapidly. God bless and please stay safe.
The idea of having only one person do the talking makes sense, honestly, so I can understand why Bug and Keith are doing it that way. In both gaming and work I've seen multiple people try to do the public facing and it can get messy quickly; maybe the multiple people describe things differently, leading to more confusion, or maybe someone assumes a question has been answered by the other person when really it was never addressed and is just causing more frustration. One point of contact makes things much more neat.

man i do not remember my items like that. kinda worrisome but hopefully it'll get fixed.
My main concern in all of this is that like many people I didn't keep track of my wardrobe list. I'm not going to remember everything I'm suppose to have or what it's called, which to be honest is more worrying. Am I still going to be able to get an item back if later on I finally realize it went missing?
