Thanks for the update. The lack of communication for an issue like this is unacceptable with real money and items that are no longer obtainable (as far as the users know) at stake. You should at the very least ping siteupdate, not have individual releasers ping their own groups. Mistakes happen, but forgetting to ping and not making a news post is not helping your case. While we appreciate your honesty, not having any sort of back up for a website is truly unacceptable from anyone's point of view.

Yeah, my cw collection seems to be good, too. The wardrobe count matches my subetalodge list count. However, not sure how I'm going to see what sP items I'm missing...

Why wasn't this a site update ping? Yeah, I know. If I fucked up that bad I wouldn't want the entire userbase to know, either.
This isn't a home pc where you can afford not to back up things (even tho I've lost a number of things that way) - this is a site where $$$ is spent and that is cause enough to ensure that whoever your service provider is ALWAYS makes and has the latest backup. How in the hell did that slip your mind as you were "playing" around w/ a new wardrobe, which is the major reason why people spend said $$$????

Secret Garden Key is missing for me, too.

I think all of my CWs are in the wardrobe, but I have no idea how many other items might be missing. I won't know until I go to use them, and I have no idea how to even begin figuring out about the ones I don't use frequently.

fortunately my wardrobe is minuscule with no cws. i can't imagine how stressful this is for users who heavily invested in clothing. i hope this gets resolved smoothly somehow, even with my tiny wardrobe i have no idea if im missing anything.

(and staff, of course! & don't forget to sleep you funky bug.)

i've also noticed the old wardrobe wants me to convert my avatar again, and it stopped doing that a while ago. & my luminaire ornaments are in the new wardrobe. (this is obviously not important right now, i'm just pointing it out in case it helps with combing through backend stuff.)

Just from Wiz Quests: Field Harvester Bouncy Ball, White Fashion Bag, and White Suspenders had "Add to Wardrobe" buttons available for me. I bought them because they're cheap, but, pretty sure I had them both already!

I haven't lost anything, but I also haven't bought many SP items, and I might have lost somethign, but being lind I don't use the wardrobe a lot, It was hard as heck to put this olde morrowstide mask on.

So we all lost the same items if we had them.?. I’m missing the secret garden key too. I checked my cws I’m pretty sure they’re all there but, I will check again.

I wasn't going to ping you guys... but in the end I decided to because I have a request. If the items are mostly the same that are missing from accounts, then please make a staff post that lists all items users have found missing so that those less organized like myself can at least have a chance of seeing items we knew we had. I have seen a couple items that others are missing but I still have, but the lists helped me discover a bunch that are missing. The rest of this post is my rant at you guys and my item list for my own reference later. I'll forgive you for skipping it, I know you're busy.

I'm very disappointed in staff right now. There is absolutely no excuse for not having backups as a professional, running, monetary business. Especially when there have been a lot of history with issues like this in the past. I know that you had to fess up to this, and that nothing you say or do will make it better, but really guys. BE BETTER. Whatever service you were using for backups, fire them. Get two new options up and running. Never let it happen again.

There's absolutely no way I will remember all the items.. over years and years of play. I will only find the items as I go to use them.. who knows when. Of what I've seen others reporting and what I've noticed so far these are the ones I am missing:

I found that I have an old subetalodge list of items I owned. I'll slog through it when I have time and update this list. Some of the items I might have sold at some point, but it's the best I've got.

These I thought I had bought.. but am not sure. Can anyone else confirm they are missing them? I'm sure there's more, but I don't have the time to comb through and hope I find it all.

I also mysteriously have 2 of this one in my wardrobe... It was the more recent item I added to the wardrobe I think.

I checked and I still have all of mine so it shouldn't be an issue - so far people seem to generally be missing the same items - but check just in case guys! Please be honorable and only report missing kitties you have bought <3

I have under 100 cws and none of mine were missing.

I would check my actual cash shop purchase logs to see if anything I bought during all the black fridays went missing, but the logs don't show cart purchases so thanks for that :^)

I can't help but feel like certain people forewarned staff that items were disappearing and they were dismissed until days later this is revealed... cough

First off, let me say that I love subeta and the community as a whole. I mean, I think we all get frustrated at times with some lag especially on the first day of a holiday when inevitably something isn’t working well and the lag is great. I guess I’m a bit more of a mellow persona and am willing to put up with things like this because, I know the site is working on improvements constantly and is much smaller than some other sites. I started writing on my mobile but thought, no this will take too long to voice things I’m wanting to express.

See, I am one of those people who will many times consider my own human frailty the issue and not someone else. So how am I to know if my item is missing because it was deleted and no backup is there to support this—or I sold it and simply forgot? Either way, I’m now looking into my wardrobe, a daunting task with a memory that is fallible. Not to mention that there are odd names that I couldn’t remember if my life depended on it. I, like many others, have made no such list of own items and have things in there that span over 4k. Some have even more massive wardrobes and I truly feel for them as I sit here perplexed on how to approach this. The other day I was like, hmm, I am pretty sure I had that cw… I went to check and it wasn’t there. My thoughts go to oh I guess I sold it. But now I am wondering if I did. A rather large question of is now is it me, or was it the site? But I don’t exactly know the name either. I’m not sure. I just am not. How am I supposed to know what is in fact missing? I’m pulling my hair out here sitting in pain from surgery and stressed as it is.

I don’t exactly wish to belabour the point that many have made but I am upset at the several missed steps that the staff have overlooked/forgot which has led to this extremely undesirable and indeed rather reprehensible situation in which we all are faced with. I am now, like many others, going to have to try my best to troll through what I have and hope I catch a missed and valuable item and hope it will be replaced. I love the subeta staff. Many of my tickets express my love for the site and the amazing support that I am often given in the tickets. Yes, there are a couple of times that I could not be helped in the way I was hoping or wanting (like those horrible bottles of water that didn’t explain it would transform a pet and I fed it thinking I would be adding to my gourmand’s food list only to lose the colour I had and being told it couldn't be undone. Lesson learnt.) but otherwise by and large I am happy with the site and willing to forgive some things which are just going to arrise and let it come as it may. I trust the team will solve them and we'll move on. I was and still am grateful for all that the team does for us and for the compassion and understanding in which they ‘get us’ as a player. That kind of understanding is by and large something that helps keep a site going. I for one wish to see Subeta thrive for a very long time. I hold out hope that this situation can be rectified swiftly and our items can be returned to us. I will add a list of items that I am missing if and when I discover them. I sincerely hope people are not driven from the site because of this. :/
