I'm going to throw my two cents into this hat as well, given that I've been through several of the revamp debacles and what-not around on this site, going on 13 years here, mind you.

I was here when the Dragon/Rreign debacle was here. I've been through several of the holidays when we used to have "Easter" and "Christmas" and "Halloween" rather than "Vesnali", "Luminare", and "Morostide" as well as the changing of the various "Keith" items into new items (golly, just HOW many of those holiday items am I going to have to move to the "Not in the proper Holiday" part of my gallery now?).

However, one thing I had seen a little bit of is that sometimes, not all the times, the Staff would put up what is known as "Revamp Polls" for the pets. These showed the older version of a pet and two possible versions of the revamps and let the users vote on them allowing them to see which one they liked better.

I feel that Subeta could do these more instead of just dropping revamps all willy-nilly just changing up various items especially those that are wearables and others, and if enough of the userbase WANTS to keep the older version of the item, they should just touch it up slightly to make it more like the rest of the site, and with the revamp that they were going to be doing, turn it into a new item in the same line of the older item. That way, people who want to keep the older item can with just a slightly more updated look, whereas we get a new item as well.

But, those are just my two cents in on this matter.

- I can't think of another site that basically takes your stuff out of your wardrobe and changes it drastically instead of retiring old items and replacing the ones in the shop. That's not the same thing as losing your stuff because the site has died.

Yea, I used to go to Gaia a while back, but since I couldn't really do much with the site, I kinda gave up on it. I also once played on Neopets but basically gave up on the site after leaving it for a little bit and then having my account taken away and having my pets given to other users, especially one I'd worked on that was based on a dear friend's OC who even gave me permission to use the character, only to have it given to another user after my account basically frozen (as for what reason, I don't recall), and then trying to ask said user if I could have him back once I returned and them never being able to get him back. I can see how upset people could be if an item was changed.

I know some people mentioned how the Reborn Paralix went through several revisions until its current state, and I can tell you that I was heartbroken when it happened because I had chosen it for one of my pets, and then I had to change it to a different one. Back then as well, I was told to "suck it up" because I couldn't keep the original one. However, each time I changed the pet to a new Reborn pet, something go revamped with the new one that I didn't like.

Remember the Reborn Torrey? Its original pose I loved because it fit the personality of my previous Reborn Paralix to a tee... Then they went and totally destroyed it by changing the pose. The Reborn Rreign? Same deal. So, as begrudgenly as it was, I went back to the Reborn Paralix... For now. Once they do create a Reborn pet that looks like the way I wanted my pet to look, I'll switch it then.

The next one they did that to me on was the Galactic Telenine, but since it's a bit tough to get Galactic pets, especially the one I had chosen for mine, I did something that I should've done when the Reborn Torrey was to be changed: save the original artwork for it and use as an overlay, which I did. Maybe eventually, I'll go back to the Reborn Torrey and ask around to see if someone still has the original pose for it so I can put my other pet back to the way it once was rather than what I have it right now.
