Sorry you have IRL problems, I have had some also. But I agree that this is getting ridiculous. There has been nothing but problems since the "maintenance" and nothing seems to be getting fixed. Quests, errors, lags, alerts, games not working or stuck. You'd think after a few weeks some of it would be better.

I really, really try to be patient. I'm truly grateful for the staff here and the work they put into the site. I know it's all hard and stuff. But I mean jeezus, it's been weeks and we are still putting up with the same problems that should have simple solutions. Like the quest reset thing. Until it actually gets fixed, someone just needs to be on at midnight to push a button. And it's a known issue that repeatedly occurs at midnight. Can no one be on at midnight to push the button? We apparently can't even get a straight answer as to whether or not it's ok to redo quests that reset multiple times a day (I asked, staff posted on the thread and ignored my question). I don't want to bitch, really...I know the staff here cares (at least, historically they have) and there are more important things to complain about. I know that. But it's all piling up, the big issues and the little ones. And this is supposed to be my distraction from real-life stress, which is immense right now and I have no relief from it because this is just adding to it. So I'm freakin tired of it. It really is starting to look like they're giving up and I hate that.

Agreed. I really do appreciate all the hard work staff puts in to working on things but you'd think after weeks some of it would get better. And no word on whether the story contest will happen or not. Would just be nice to get some updates, like "we're working on fixing stuff" or something.

I just wish they'd update us and hold off adding ANY new content until what is here is working again. The alerts not working is really ruining my game time because I know I'm missing out on things because I can't remember when everything is due or last done. If fixing that isn't important to the site then I'd prefer it wasn't there until it is working again.

Nothing but problems since the server swap. I completely understand why the staff did it, but it could literally not have come at a worse time. So many people missed out on Fireside and are missing Lumi because of the freaking lag and the staff also probably have irl stuff for the irl holidays so they don't have as much time to devote as usual to fixing this.

I have not played here more than ~15 minutes a day since it started because of the lag; to keep my bath house streak and to get Melody's Cottage and a little bit of checking around for things like the Weekly Pet Prompt.

It has been well over a month and we are still getting serious lag, missing alerts, stuff that doesn't want to update, stuff that's still broken and it's just plain unacceptable at this point. There are no real updates on what went wrong with the move or what they're doing to fix these problems, either. No word on certain things like the storytelling contest or their plans for old Morostide items. And a lot of people are probably gonna miss out on the New Years celebrations too because right now questing is nearly impossible, on top of the fact that they aren't resetting like they should and have to be manually reset and the --tail errors.

Oh, and I still can't access my bigger shops at all or my wishlist to organize it. Anything that seems to take a significant amount of data to load just results in more --tail errors no matter what I do. So there's that in the pile too that I don't see getting fixed any time soon because there's been zero word on those despite people asking constantly about both things :/

Is there any news about progress in general? It feels like we're stuck on errors (still getting quite a few "application errors"), still no alerts on some things (crypts, training), etc. Last update was over 3 weeks ago. :(

Oh yeah, I forgot all about the writing contest. I'm ok with them holding off on that until everything's working again. I'm becoming concerned about how long these fixes are taking and the lack of updates from the programmers though...they must be really serious problems.

Maybe they should have waited on the "maintenance" until after first of the year when most of the events etc are done. Everything seemed to be working before that so it's annoying that it apparently messed up a lot of stuff. And it would be nice to get some kind of update.

Agreed. Or even better, if they'd done it over the summer. I wouldn't want it to interfere with Survival either (although at the rate things are going, it still may).

I would also REALLY like some kind of update on when I will be able to access the many thousands of items in my legacy gallery. :(

The lack of communication is a serious problem considering the things I'm learning about that have been issues since the maintenance/move. The other day I learned that there's a huge bug that is causing pet intelligence stat wipes and/or the stat not being increased when books are read to the pet. Anyone been reading the new books to their pet? I have, because we're not being told about issues like that. What's the price on those books right now? Did my pet get an intel point? I don't know because I don't keep close track of the numbers. I doubt many others know about this issue because the transparency we were so happy with disappeared in favor of keeping the site looking pretty to prospective new members, one of which was in this thread a few days ago because they joined to make a storm pet but the potion isn't changing their pet. Multiple people were awarded gold accounts accidentally (was supposed to happen when the site was stable) and some didn't get the GA. My bestie was one that didn't get the GA but because there was zero news about this being something that should happen site-wide, she probably lost her chance at it. It was never made public by staff and we both thought it was going to be a rolling award to help keep the site from struggling with everyone suddenly having a gold account. Think the same staff that has people terrified of accidentally abusing the GA days or the multiple quest resets are going to believe someone didn't get their GA week?

Are they looking for a large rug or something?

Oh gee, I hope I didn't waste any intelligent points on my pet! I did read the Melody gift books to her. I hope that that gets fixed and added in properly.

And still, no item names on Melody or Quests or the Vault. No training alerts. No forum pings. Still lag.

Wow the quests reset again and stargazer finally unstuck. Great. Thanks. Now if they would just get the alerts and bluff to work that would be wonderful.

- I have found that if you go to the wardrobe and just hit save on your current HA, the mark will go away after the cache catches up.

I think I only saw one other person mentioning this issue, and potions are a pretty big deal, so I thought it would be okay to mention this: potions currently aren't working to change your pet's colour.

I get the image of the new colour, I get the "Your pet has changed into a [insert colour and species here]!" message, I even unlocked the achievement for using a potion on a pet, but I get an SQL error, the pet stays like it was and the potion isn't used.

Is there any known workaround to this? Or am I effectively unable to change my pets' colour unless it's an elixir colour/unless I risk it with the lab zapper? :/

I honestly am not aware of a single thing I use that has been fixed since the nightmare server switch. It's been well over enough time to actually fix things. Friend requests and pet transfers are broken, those are pretty important things and I've been unable to rehome a couple of my pets or friend request someone. I'd kind of like to be able to use the site. I can't even enjoy the new pet colors that are coming out because dear god just fix the site! Are we even getting the usual "we are aware of this issue/working on it" nonsense? It seems like this 24 page(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) thread has just become ignored.

But I sure am glad the entire site seems to be suddenly Centered because that was definitely something that needed someone's time and attention /SARCASM

13 years on this site and this nonsense is absolutely in my top 5 ridiculous and frustrating things. There's only so much "we're so thankful for what the staff is doing" one can say when it really feels like NOTHING has been getting done for over a MONTH.

And I'm not one to get outwardly frustrated with this site very easily. But I'm at the end of my wits here.

Everything actually reset I think 2 nights in a row. But not tonight, still waiting for quests to reset so I can do Shinwa quests. Guess it was too good to be true hoping the reset problem had finally been solved. "Shinwa: Play now!" Sorry Shin, can't until the others get reset. :( Edit: OK giving up and going to bed. Hope they reset some day.

Also there are NO fairies to catch and release this year (But hey there's no achievement tracker for Melody atm) and just constant, CONSTANT 'application error' or 502 errors.
