Random ToT Link on Front Page Says Link is Expired

The whole expiring issue is mega annoying, stealing lots of time and needs paying extra attention, instead of having a tab with a link, which I click until I get the sought after item. There is sooo much to do in addition to daylies. Nobody needs that stupid hinderance on top!!!
This is a good point. Leaving the "Oh no! This link has expired" message up seems to be giving people the idea (myself included) that the ToT link in the news isn't working, even if it is working exactly the way it's supposed to.
Is there any way to implement Kisrah's idea? I feel like that would clear up a lot of confusion.
We can try to implement it next year, but at the moment this is what's going to have to be it. The link is the best I can do that gets y'all the ToT random link. Yes, I realize it's frustrating to get that message and have to click again. It's just something we're all going to have to deal for now. 🤷 I don't want to give y'all excuses, but since this isn't actually a bug, I don't have the time to attack it (hahahaha so many things to do for Morostide rip) and has irl things going on.
