Thank you! :D It's a Sakura Pigma set. I happened to get a 50% off one item coupon for Michael's just in time for Inktober. I've looked at these expensive pens before and been like nah, my fine-point Sharpie is good enough. But some of these are amazingly fine and the brush one is awesome so at half off they were definitely worth it! I will say that solid black part looks a lot more opaque in person.

For a minute I thought about getting some Copic markers but then I saw how much those cost. HAHA. ha. I'm going to have to do a lot more arting to justify those.

Honestly wishing I had a larger sketch book I think the one I'm using now is uh... 5x8 and it's kind of making me struggle to center / not hit that side edge for my pieces. Also I'm literally using like a bic ballpoint. lmao. So if this year goes well for this, maybe next year I'll invest in actual inks. This year I just can't afford new supplies.

Thank you so much! I just want to draw squiggly lines all day with that brush pen lol. That's funny, I had to do the opposite and get a smaller drawing pad (6x8). Normally I just draw on 8.5x11 printer paper or whatever but I always feel obligated to fill up the whole sheet with background/details/whatever and it takes ages. I need tiny paper to constrain myself so I can just do little sketchy things or else I'll never keep up with the daily challenge. I know what you mean though...running into the edge sucks.

This is for the story I mentioned yesterday. Someone is trying to catch her by using a light, since she's as attracted to them as most other bugs are. The design could change a bit since it's my first proper drawing of her. I really need to work out how the limbs work.

I got a different scanner app that makes the pictures look a bit less messy.

Anyway, there's a story behind this picture. It ends with me getting a new phone, because I restarted it to see if the freezing problem would stop but instead it got much worse. Sometimes it would restart without warning and get stuck loading and I'd have to take the battery out, and then it would take at least two attempts to start properly after that. This was almost a week ago, I'm still getting used to this new phone that I have now.
