welcome to the last contest i'm hosting this month!

anyone can enter, not just members of kantests, though if you like ha contests i recommend joining!

? contest 4 ~ vaporwave ?

this last contest is based on vaporwave aesthetics & music ~~ if you're not familiar, give it a google and check it out.

basically it's characterised by chill mood music, cool colours, a juxtaposition of techno and classical aesthetics, a heavy surrealist element, and an ambivalent or satirical attitude towards capitalist culture. vaporwave art often involves the colours blue and purple, classical statues, early web design, glitch aesthetics, 80s era sci fi aesthetics, japanese lettering, and beach themes.

is a good example of the aesthetic.

here's a few requirements:

just take a full swing at the vaporwave aesthetic my guys
i will judge based on aesthetics as well as adherence to theme
no body horror. blood/bruising/weapons are fine, just please no guts or body parts where they shouldn't be. just a matter of what i can personally stomach. also, no zombie skins please, even the tame ones.

you can use any items you want and don't have to own them. you can use non-zombie skins. you can submit as many avatars as you want, but only 1 can win per person. feel free to tag friends or contest groups if you like.

1 first place winner will win their choice of one of the following: a set of 3 busts or chibis, of the subjects of their choice 1 fullbody portrait with a foreground element, of the subject of their choice a banner set for a shop or similar thread a recording of me reading any piece of writing < 3.5k words

2 (or more at my discretion) runner-ups will win a bust or chibi of the subject of their choice

1 raffle winner will win a 2mil sp prize of my choice from their wishlist (raffle will be chosen between all entrants regardless of how many avatars they submit.)

each person can only win one prize per week.

please note that though i will work on these in the order people win them in, i cannot work very fast, so i will probably build up a backlog that will take me a couple months to get through. if you're wondering about the progress of your prize feel free to ask, just please be patient, i am disabled and trying my best. also please note that i will not draw body horror, and that i reserve the right to ask you to pick a different subject for personal reasons.

this is my last contest as a kantest host for now, but i may do a birthday event for myself in october. :3 even if i don't, i'll be back on the contest hosting scene eventually.
