To be honest - I don't have any issue with them disappearing. Everything is supposed to be picked up within the invite time, after which I unlock and reprice the item to begin with.

If someone can't do it in that time frame, I have always and forever asked that they talk to me about it and we can work something out from there (like, I'll keep the item locked at the discount and resend an invite for them when they're ready) - but in that case, I have record of it either on the thread, via comments, or in my sMail. I feel like, if someone can't have the consideration to say "hey, I need a minute because of X" then I don't really owe them a never-ending invite.

There are always exceptions (people who I know are mostly inactive or are away, etc etc) - but again, usually I know that myself and we've had a discussion about it. I've sat on and had to resend an invite for weeks on end for someone who participated in a contest when someone else could've had the item (they claimed and then disappeared on me) and I don't really think that's fair to everyone else to wait on it or miss out on something in favor of someone who doesn't even have the courtesy to send me a quick message/reply to the invite sMail that they 'can't pick up yet and is that okay'.

I keep my slot lists up until invites are sent out, and then they disappear because I expect people to be responsible a bit for themselves. But it wouldn't take me hardly any extra effort to make a list on a private thread or notepad or whatever and just mark off everyone who picks up as I get the notices so that I can have my own record of who retrieved and who didn't in the case of an expiration - I don't think subeta needs to code something new to do that for me (especially since they finally fixed the broken coding within the invite system so it works as it was always intended to).

I do think that shop invites should be their own classification.

But you do run contests at every event where half the site is giving you flowers, kisses or dances. I don't think that most people get as many of those pings as you do! :) And if you're running a big event during a site holiday I recommend keeping a spreadsheet of everything you've asked to slot on. I do that anyway. But I always want my stuff really bad, so I do look for the invites!

I try very hard to keep up with my slots haha but man I swear since I had my son? my brain is fried lol.

I know I'm the odd one out with how big my contests and that are so I know I'm definitely in the minority of users that would have that issue, I just know I've heard other people having similar issues so figured I'd bring it up :D

oh wow, whoops, I never meant to imply that you lose track of your slots!!! :D I just wanted to point out that I can see why you'd have trouble dealing with all those "events" because I hate it when I have more than 20 at once, although usually deleting all the double posts I get from being in every ping group on earth cuts them down really fast!

I do lose track sometimes and then I feel like such an ass lol
