You have to remember that while US and UK laws might differ in details they are both common law, precedent-based systems. In Europe where I&;m from variations on France and Germany-influenced civil law is the norm instead and statute of limitations on murder outside of war crimes, genocide etc tends to be 20-30 years instead of unlimited, which is why I&;m bringing it up. And that is of course not going into any customary or religious laws the Tehb might have had. Depending on the laws of the land Jaxon might not even be prosecutable anymore :)

So, until a staff member tells us what Shadowglen laws about murder are we haven't a clue. :D :D

Also, seriously, correct me if I&;m wrong but the only real proof we have is Dungarde&;s claims anyway? Which, while very dramatic/compelling seems to be hearsay and also made by a creature that is hardly impartial, could easily be argued to hold a grudge and has a vested interest in Jaxon dying (again)

If there was a trial the Dungarde is the only witness they have who might know what happened. Could Itallo send Thorpe back in time via the Rift to investigate?

Iltallo: You&;re a Subeta, so I understand you may not fully understand this subject matter, but I believe a rift may have opened up. A rift in time I mean. Don&;t laugh, it happens all the time on Atebus, and sometimes on Subeta too - What do you think the Blackheart Hollow is?

Iltallo: Some would say that I&;m a casual expert in matters of time travel. This cave system is a hot spot of rift activity, and always has been, but they have become more frequent since the crash site was discovered - we&;ve already had three rifts open today, though they soon collapsed on themselves. I have been designing a device that would stabilize the rifts, as well as protect the user to some degree, making the rifts easier to explore. I think it is ready for practical testing.

If the staff said so, Thorpe could be sent to Shadowglen's past via the Rift and retrieved again. On the other hand, Thorpe looks fully human and Shadowglen wasn't a good place for humans back then. The detective would have to look like a Tehb. Another possibility is that Quentin could find some Shadowglen ghosts as witnesses.

Gunter&;s bail was set at 30bil sP that&;s why he is still sitting in jail awaiting trial, pass it on.

LOL. I hope we aren't asked to contribute sP for his bail. :D
