yeah, though it can take a while depending on how in demand the item is. like i recently sold a bunch of nocturne eggs for 310g apiece and they all sold within like 5sec. but those are eggs. it can be a lot harder to sell apparel.

That's not every festival like this. Some colors, like Lightning, are not very coveted some years. Usually, there is at least one item which is very searched for.

Another newbie question about apparel. I know there is a way to see what the stuff actually looks like on your dragons, but I can't seem to find it again. Please tell me where.

Question for battlers:

So a while ago, I sprang for an Eliminate and attached it to one of my dragons (this Level 17 Arcane Tundra, which may have been my first mistake as perhaps Arcane Tundras aren't naturally very good battlers, I don't know, but he was one of my first dragons and therefore first to battle and level up).

Ever since, I've been trying to figure out why these things are so highly recommended and coveted by battlers. My dragon almost never builds up enough breath to use it! Either the battle ends first (usual scenario) or in a long battle, such as against a boss, this Tundra gets knocked out before he can use it. Or on the few occasions when he's actually been able to utilize this attack, it either doesn't actually kill the enemy (wut? I thought it was supposed to be some mega-OP battle-ender) or it was totally unnecessary as ANY attack could have killed the enemy at that point because it was almost dead anyway. You know, because it took so long to build up the breath to use Eliminate that everything's almost defeated already though other means.

I have experimented with moves that are supposed to generate breath faster (Meditate or whatever) but I've found that wasting a turn on that is less efficient than just using the turn to attack with Scratch or Shred. Basically, I'm simply not seeing the use case for Eliminate. Someone please tell me why I should bother ever buying more of these overpriced things to attach to other dragons. And which dragon(s) I should attach them to for the best effect. I am currently training up a Snapper (Level 12 Wind) because I heard they are the best battlers. I also have a Wildclaw (Level 19 Fire) who seems to be my most naturally-talented battler at this point, and a Level 18 Arcane Guardian who is my favorite dragon and I'll do whatever it takes to make her succeed I guess lol.

i like many people use this guide or something very similar -- basically, by frontloading your dragon's strength stat, you can literally tear through the opposition. it's extremely effective.

may i have the first female? she'd be pretty perfect for one of my ocs ^-^

Thanks for the reply. I already use that guide and put most of my stat points into strength, sparing a few for quickness, pretty much as described in the guide. Which is probably why I seem to have more luck just attacking and smashing my way through enemies instead of getting all strategic by building up breath and using Eliminate at just the right time, whenever that may be. Yet that guide also recommends Eliminate and everyone acts like it's necessary for good battling.

Maybe it just won't actually be useful to me until I'm max-level and farming in the high-end arenas. Is that it? Is it useful there?

Btw my Arcane Guardian just leveled up to 19, whee.

I'm an eliminate convert for sure. I followed that guide to a tee and I was able to get my top 3 battlers to level 25 within about a week or so. One thing I noticed while looking at your Tundra-- your quick level is pretty far down from where the guide suggests for level 17. Quick will get you more turns more quickly-- perhaps this is one reason why you're struggling to see your breath go up as fast as you want?

My 3 top dragons right now will each get 3 turns on just about any level (barring the last 3) before any of the opponents gets ONE. Do you have the ambush stones that are suggested to max out at level 15? Those will give your dragons more turns before the opponents, so those are some stones you really want to have too.

Each scratch= 6 breath. You can use your eliminate at 35 breath, so your dragons need to last to round 7 to be able to use it. However, unless your dragon misses on their turn or the opponent doesn't die, you will not lose your breath, so you should continue to be able to use eliminate as long as you make sure you're using the "scratch first, THEN eliminate" method for the opponents in the later levels. A single strike of eliminate will not be enough to kill them without scratching them first, and if they don't die... buhbye saved breath.

I liked the description in the early part of that guide as the "glass cannon" build, because that's exactly what it is. My dragons are dangerous as shit as long as I get my hits in first! They have no defenses though, so if I miss too often or I get stuck with a boss opponent without a full bar of breath, I'm out!

Also-- I have a Guardian, a Skydancer, and a Fae as my top battlers-- species really doesn't matter much. Fae's have some of the lowest starting stats, but my dude can still kick everyone's ass now that he's level 25.

Thanks for the in-depth answer! Yeah, my stats don't quite seem to be up to par according to the guide. Probably because I don't have any of the stat bonus stones and I haven't used that item that lets you reallocate your stats (I imagine any breed is equal after doing that...I'm guessing the idea that some breeds are better battlers than others comes from the initial stats they are born with?). Ever since feeling like I wasted my money on that Eliminate I've been kinda shy about buying any of the other battle stones or items, wondering if they're really worthwhile. Also I'm putting off those purchases hoping that I'll find them while battling (seems unlikely, RNGesus doesn't love me) and until after all these events that keep happening since I joined that require my immediate attention. First it was a dominance push that had me buying and training up exalt fodder and now it's Thundercrack Carnivale which is demanding all of my treasure to obtain the new items and all of my battling is happening below my level in Thunderhead Savanna because that's where most of the sprockets are. Not to mention just being new and wanting to spend my daily earnings on new dragons and shinies.

I guess I have the same problem there as I've always had here: I'm just not singularly committed enough to battling to be the very best at it. I want to do and have everything! D:

I seem to do ok though...I think? Not that I really have any other experience to compare it to. But my main problem seems to be that my enemies usually die before I can bring out the big guns, so...is that even really a problem? lol

- I am going to sell one of my older dragons with a potion of dissolution. She's level 25, all stoned for a HEALER's role, but if tinctured you can re-stone and her to your heart's content, or just keep her the way she is. Thought I'd offer here first. 100k treasure or 100G. That's about half the price of a non-stoned lv25 on the AH. This is Tempestas (a storm goddess) From my tutorial...lol As you can see, her genes are ollllddd but she dolls up right nice! And her stones. She has the rainbow stars for her meditate, she's my unicorn..

I would love to have Tempestas.. I do not have the 100g right this moment though. I could probably have it by end of this weekend?
