What I am confused about is this quote... "forum points are given out in the main Subeta forums only. Any posts that you make in forum groups won't count towards forum points."
What is the difference?? which are 'main' and which are 'forum groups' ?
this is ?? really disappointing. it should have been mentioned publicly and explained why.
the threads we have in here are standard forum games, even, not just spams of numbers or keymashes (unless that's the game lmao).
i know i'm shy of posting on the main forums (old habits), and am much more comfortable posting in a smaller area. this place was one of the first places i actually started posting, and it was really nice.

<p>Why are these forum posts considered any different to any other post? When posting in the main forums should you post too many times you are classified as spamming which means you are limited to the amount of times you can respond to a said forum topic which again brings us back to limited chances for FP&;s.
Then there is the point that most of the forum topics aren&;t things we have anything to &;input&; in to them any ways and there is also the case like for many of us we just aren&;t comfortable posting in the main threads for a whole bunch of personal reasons -points finger to now non member who use to stalk my every post just to be little me for it!-</p>
<p>If these/our forum topics are being prevented from us earning FP it (to me) verges on a form of bias which should definitely be against all rules of common law and Subeta. If Subeta is concerned with abuse of the FP points either eliminate it all together (which wouldn&;t be a bad thing) or set up some form of guidelines and implement them for EVERYONE, and more importantly don&;t just stop things without letting consumers know! I mean we are consumers, we pay cash (most of us at some point do) so we have an investment into how things run and affect us on the site.</p>
<p>I&;m in a rush today so haven&;t re-read this to see if I&;ve structured it in a cohesive manner, I hope I&;ve made some sort of sense in what I wanted to vent!

wow that is very disappointing to hear. i'm confused as to their reasoning to implement this, but more-so really miffed that they didn't let us know - like, i feel a bit cheated? i've been going out of my way to do my usual posts here, but honestly, if i'd known i would have ZERO chance to get a FP unlike the small chance we had before, then i wouldn't have bothered taking the time to do those posts either. time is precious, and i feel like i've wasted a whole lot of it.
i too don't really go to the main forums just for the chance for FPs because the games seem like they would take more energy for me to think of things to post (that's why i love most of our topics!) so it's easier for me to come here and just post my training stats or Shinwa rewards or whatever.
they're usually so upfront with any changes so i'm confused as to why they wouldn't let us know about this, and it's not like it's a new thing, the changes happened months ago. i'm so stumped. i'm sure there's more i could say, but i'm just...wow...
if a suggestion board gets up and running i'll definitely add my support! and thanks for checking and letting us know !

WHAAAA??? I haven't posted here in awhile since I hadn't been focusing on FPs, but uhgggg. 😩
Seriously, I know they want to increase activity in the forums, but idk how this would accomplish that at all. Maybe in the games section, yeah, but other sections? Probably not. There just aren't a lot of users online at any one time to have super active forums. People tend to keep to their sections of the forums and that's it.
What is even the point of having private group forums if they seemingly want to discourage the use of them???? If they did away with them completely (and just left the group pinging function) I would be so freaking pissed. I run a couple groups and put a lot of effort, time, & love into them. I can't imagine how upset you must be, .
Hopefully I'll be able to come up with some more feedback on forum activity and forum groups when the thread is created. I have a feeling it will be one part support for the FP being given out in group forums and one part forum activity discussion.

That's too bad, but it doesn't really affect me much so I'm not actually bothered by it. I can sympathise with people who are though. :(

This is really annoying. I rarely post in the main forums b/c I just don't have a lot in common with many due to my age bracket. I just wanted to participate in my own way without having any real thoughts about my posts and get some forum points while I'm at it. When you're forcing people into the main 'arena' just to get those, it really puts the pressure on those that have issues w/ anxiety and throwing together a whole mish mash of people that do just fine in their own little space, or corner of Subeta.
To hell w/ it. I'll go back to whatever I was doing before and not even bother w/ the FP anymore.

Since I entered in this group I never won FP :( .. I had to go back to the normal forum. it's worth it but I really need points!

I was starting to wonder and then I became inactive for a couple of weeks and was going to start getting back into it but now I guess I will start posting in main forums again. Ugh. If anyone makes a feedback thread please let me know and I will post in it. Thanks Lypsyl for the update.

Hunh..., now that you mention it, I can't remember ever getting a forum point when posting in places like Wayward Squirrel or the Wizarding groups, and I did a lot of RP posts in those. I suspect "private" group posts never got points, and that this is not something new, only something we just noticed.

The main forums are: Subeta - Problems & Bugs, Site Feedback, Suggestions & Ideas, etc. Subeta Features - General Discussion, Subeta Pets, Battle, etc. Subeta Commerce - Advertising, Item Pricing, Profiles & Graphics Market, etc. Creative Corner -Art Discussion, Profiles & Graphics Discussion, Writing Discussion, etc. Social Scene - Chit-Chat, Entertainment, Roleplaying
Anything after that is private forum groups and will vary for everyone based on which groups they belong to.
No, they definitely used to give out forum points. Before making this group way back when, I tested it very thoroughly. I didn't want to promise FPs if I couldn't guarantee them. Then once the group was made, I continued to test and confirm. 100% certainty that forum groups used to give out forum points until recently.
It feels very deliberately hidden to me...but then I'm still really annoyed about it all and very ready to ascribe malicious motives.

Interesting. Definitely an attempt to boost the open forums then, but I really don't understand why.., the same ads play on both, so I don't get the advantage to Subeta in cutting out FP for group posts. Nor do I appreciate the apparent secrecy with which the change seems to have been made. The forum point drop has been so low all over lately, that I haven't bothered to even check the shop in ages. It almost seems like they're attempting to do away with FP as currency all together.
