No kids here, but I do remember my mom washing my little sister in the kitchen sink as a baby lol. They have so many cute options now, like this one -

When my bby brother was born our friend gifted us a bathtub stand(?) Theres a soft lid and when you opened it theres the tub, and when you close the lid bby can lay on it. When he got bigger hes in the reg tub
A baby tub? Hmm. I'd look for practicality/safety first, then cost, then cuteness! If you can find something that ticks all the boxes that's a huge win for you. If not, you can always just go with the sink or washing baby up with you with care - people must have lived for centuries without special baby tubs, after all! x) (Although tbh I have no idea how people lived before toothbrushes were a thing, wow.)
baby bathtubs! how exciting! I definitely don't have kids and probably won't for a while LOL, but I would look for practicality and safety/comfort! Make sure there's back and neck support, but also that it's easy to clean and roomy enough for when the baby gets bigger! And, of course, good quality -- you don't want it to fall apart after just a couple of washes! Always check the reviews! ;)<3

- Oh, thank you. Sorry to take so long getting back to you. I had to move my daughter off to college (cries). The wig is Blueberry Dessert Swirl Strands. It's one of the few custom pieces I own. I bought it during the recent pawn shop opening.
Suggestions for future challenges:
Favorite books for children. Starting to build a library for your child would be nice. I know a literacy teacher who requested that the women who came to her baby shower bring a picture book with a message written inside instead of writing a card.
Thoughts on essentials similar to the baby tub challenge such as strollers, car seats, diaper bags, etc.
Postpartum wellness. Ideas to help you stay physically, emotionally, and mentally well during your recovery and the early weeks of tending to a newborn.

ok, so, as i have no personal experience on bathing babies (and haven't read through previous suggestions so hopefully haven't mentioned something already brought up), i asked my mum her advice, which in essence is: if you can try some out that's ideal (if a friend/family member has a bub who you might be able to 'practice' with to see what works and what doesn't for you), or secondly, seek advice/reviews from other mum's on the products you're looking to buy (which i guess you're also doing here). and then she mentioned to keep in mind how heavy and possibly unwieldy it might be to carry when it has water in it (if you're going to need to move it to empty/fill etc) as moving heavy things once you've had bub might not be as easy post-birth.

I would look for one that has a comfortable shape for the baby. One that has too many jagged edges wouldn't be good for a new baby. I would also look for one with a raised back so that it can sit baby up and support their head and back.
I would use something practical instead of buying something marketed as a baby bath tub. You'll probably just end up spending a lot more money on something that is basically just a plastic container?? Which is exactly what I would use: a small-ish storage container (with a rolled towel or towels in it to keep the baby comfy and stable. That way when the baby gets bigger you can remove towels to allow more room, plus you can then just use the container for storage once it's not needed anymore.
After three kids I can honestly say I HATE baby baths. They are bulky and only useful for around 4 months. Plus since you don't bathe them every day you just end up moving it from room to room cause it's always in the way! Not to mention they're heavy when full and a faff on to fill.
I usually top and tail my kids or just get them in the proper bath with me or my husband. If you're going for a sink wash the flower bath posted earlier is a good idea. It'll support baby nicely and it won't be hard or cold on their little butt. And it'll go in the washer once used! Could use a towel for the same thing but I understand the need to buy new stuff once you know a baby is on the way! It's exciting!
i think for a baby bathtub, something simple with the shapes for the baby, something that you can add in your bathtub and wash the baby there as well, and can float, so you don't have to worry and clean everything.
oh this is especially hard...i don't think my mum had a baby tub for me, she just washed me in the kitchen sink, like, in a standard plastic basin? i think? im assuming you're wanting something more special and elaborate than that, and im really not sure what to look for except probably something with nice neck/head support, like a little bath pillow type thing built in, maybe? (though that probably comes standard, lol)

Thank you for all the suggestions! You've really helped me narrow it down - especially those of you who provided links! (But I appreciate ALL the comments)
