Gameplay & 13 Things you need to know about AC Switch: https://youtu.be/mzz0L3nvWQQ

I'm so excited to have a date for the new Animal Crossing game but I'm super disappointed that it got pushed back to March 2020. Though it was really nice to see a bit of gameplay. Is anyone else looking forward to this new game?

I'm actually really glad they delayed the game until March. I won't be able to get a Switch until November, and I'd rather start the game in a warm month. But OMG SO HYPE

I'm so excited for it! Especially after watching the bit of gameplay they showed off yesterday.

I'm a little sad about the delay, but I'll take it happily if it means not forcing the developers to overwork themselves.

Plus, since it comes out in March, it means my 6 year old nephew (who loves Animal Crossing) might have gotten a Switch by then, so we'll be able to play together. I think that's maybe what I'm most excited about: couch co-op Animal Crossing.

honestly, i love everything that has been shown about new horizons. Crafting items? Starting from zero? Just two villagers at the start? Actual paths!? Nintendo really outdid themselves it seems

I haven't played AC in years but miss the charming, relaxing gameplay. I'm glad Nintendo pushed it back in order to prevent their staff from getting burnt out, even if it means I have to wait a bit longer.

I hope crafting won't be too tedious. I don't enjoy doing a lot of it in most games.

I am very excited about this! At first i was very skeptical watching the trailer reveal but after watching the treehouse live my mind changed :) Them pushing the game back was a great decision! I'd rather play a polished game more than anything :) Also the beautiful graphics and small details!

This game is the sole reason I own a Switch. It's just sitting there waiting for Animal Crossing.

tbh. I was upset that they pushed back the release date but, on the bright side, I hope that they really tighten up and improve whatever they have planned for the game ??? I honestly think it might be for the best. Too many companies release games way too early. Before they're ready. And it's an absolute disaster. So far, Nintendo has yet to do such a thing. So, as much as it makes me sad, I think the pushback is for the best.

I actually rubbed some of my favorite GameStop workers while buying the new Borderlands game. I was, like, "Can I preorder Animal Crossing or will you guys be shut down by then ???" He assured me that our store makes too much money to be shut down. They'll be the last to go down with the entire conglomerate. I think every state has their go-to GameStop. Thank goodness.

Going to jump this topic back to the top!

Did anyone watch the direct yesterday? I'm super excited for the release now :D

I think they might've removed the puns from catching bugs/fish? It's a shame if they have because they were the best. I'll always laugh at Carpe Diem.

I'M SO EXCITED AAAAA

like aside from regular excitement bc i fucking love animal crossing, being able to pick where villagers move will be a literal lifesaver because oh my god i spent wayyy too long soft resetting on new leaf to make sure they didn't move in bad places q v q

and being able to edit the town layout and those PATHS oh my god i am?? just so so so so excited * v *

tho it seems there will be no way to time travel which fair enough wasn't intended by the game but......... i used to tt a lot 😂 and also wish we could have multiple towns on multiple profiles but i'll live with just one haha

I can't wait a whole month. I just want my favorite villager Daisy in my town. 😭 I'm so ready to mold the island into the way I want it.

Unpopular Opinion I'm not a fan of the crafting, however.
Another thing I'm confused about is why they decided to straight up replace certain NPCs? Like Joan and Nat. They're gone and I don't know why.

I'm not a fan of the crafting yet either. Maybe I'll change my mind when it's out, but it just seems unnecessary to me? I do like how they're giving previews for the customised items though! No more guessing what colour that wood is going to be!

being able to choose where villagers go is going to be amazing. I can finally have the nicely organised town I've always wanted.

I'm sure it won't be too bad, but crafting in games is just something I can't stand. At least it won't be all the items in the game. Plus I understand it was to kinda create atmosphere for the island. Yeah I like the colors and still making them them your own. Now that ranch sofa won't look bland and boring!

Wait, That's actually a thing in NH? I'm a bit behind on the details of the game even if I have already pre-ordered it lol. I saw a new AC game and my monkey brains was like YUUUUUP

Now, I want everyone to know that you&;ll be able to adjust the way you look while on your new island, so there&;s no need to worry! Yes, yes, as long as you have a mirror or a vanity, you can change up your style at any time! ♪
Imagine not needing Shampoodle (I loved her though!) and you can just look however you want whenever you want!

I'm so excited for this game! It looks so beautiful. My, the game has come a LONG WAY since it released on the Gamecube xD

Ever since that direct dropped last week, I've just been watching all kinds of Animal Crossing vids on YouTube haha. It's crazy that we can mold the island as we please and how we can decide where a villager will live. Though this leads to a question I have: I know that you can move your own house and stores as well, but can you later move a villager if you change your mind about where you placed them? I'm not sure if they covered that yet or not, or if I've just missed it lol.

At first I wasn't super excited about crafting items either, but it's growing on me. I think it's partially because we're practically starting from scratch and will gradually build our islands. I'm also glad that we can just place items outside! It gives us a lot more room to customize our island. Plus, the direct gave some really good inspiration of how to decorate!

Also...has anyone else noticed that grave towards the very end of Part 2 of the direct? Like...what? Lol.
