The vault isn&;t intended to be publicly viewable. Sometimes people want to have a place to keep their items without others snooping around.
For sure! Some times I get duplicate gifts and I intend on selling the duplicate. But I stick it in my vault first and let a little time pass. Or I've had people message me about buying this or that item, so I sometimes stick a more "popular" item away so no one can see it and bug me. I also don't necessarily want people knowing how much CSC I have available - but I don't want to keep all on hand in case I mis-click something. And those are just the most obvious things one might want to keep private.
The vault is just about the only private place that there's no way users can find a workaround to get a look at. I'd like to keep it that way.

I do hope they consider this (I don't care for or need unlimited limits/items in shops, just a couple more shops/galleries would be nice and really helpful for my sorting)!
