So this will be a bigger dealio than I thought it would be. There's still time for Suggestions!

This thread is meant to be a place for everyone to make their own Suggestions for the upcoming holidays. This way it will be in one place and help staff find them all. Or, y'know you could start your own thread.

These holidays are coming up early to mid-September. Starting a thread this early gives staff, programmers, and artists time to consider,. develop and implement.

My own Suggestion is that instead of piratey stuff all the time (we've got seventeen pages of pirate wears in SubetaLodge right now, jeez) maybe the Freyalise gets temporarily "lost in a Merana generated storm and eneded up RIFTed" since she is out there free now and is still mad. NPC Tempest can find them again at the NPC Oracle's request and return them to reality next year. Instead, let there be a pop-up Islander Market with a bunch of tropical/moana/pacific islander type stuff in it instead. NPC Kahaletzii and NPC Matlal are talking to folks again, so this is a possible thing.

I like this idea. If the Islander Market is for one year only, it should be an items always available shop like Medicontra and GoOutside. On the other hand, perhaps it could be a new addition to the site that's always there.

Carl could have been barred from the Freyalise so he can give out old Pirate items as quest prizes again.

Some years ago there was a site event where designers from around Subeta were competing to be a new designer for Subeautique - one of them was from the Omen Islands. Perhaps she could have created clothing with tropical theme prints or something.

One slight problem would be coming up with items which are different to the Islanders Section of the Antique Shop because there's a limit to how many variations on a grass skirt there can be.

I still want some wearable seagulls, though. I keep asking for one on the ground and a few flying in the sky.

Maybe some more scifi depictions of pirates would be cool. -Hover/space ships in a bottle would be nice -Rift themed typical pirate pet minions (cats,parrots,monkeys) -tribute items based on well known space pirate (related) Movies/shows/games/books (guardians of the galaxy, Treasure planet,the martian and more, see The TVtropes page)

there's also plenty sea monsters that could be used, especially greek ones like the hydra or Charybdis the whirlpool monster.

Maybe some stuff relating to being shipwrecked: -I would kill for a minion based on cast away's Wilson (basketball with a blue footprint, baseball with a purple thumb print?)

Some items that would not be unususal in pirate age ship's cargo -Dried spices/teas/coffee from faraway lands (we have most existing spices but these could be fantasy spices/tea/coffee from subeta's lands) -Flags from captured ships (some subetan land flags would be awesome) -gold and silver trinkets: cutlery,hand mirrors, silver detailed religious books and symbols (fictional religious objects would be a nice way to expand on subetan culture) -barrels of pickeled meats and fish -Saurkraut and lemon juice against scurvy

How about mid-calf underskirts to be worn with the striped skirts? And what about skirts pairing with the wench skirts?

oooooh those are good. I wouldn't mind more map piece sets being released; Like maybe Darkside, Riverside and Veta Lake themed pirate sets to round out the lands (For reference: I'm talking about these; ). Maybe some more deep sea creatures?

The full on pirate sets were pretty fun. I know there are instant masquerade sets somewhere else on site, maybe the MC?

Maybe some full on ready made Islander sets.

Some sort of treasure chest object head, partially open and spilling out a few coins or gems.

Something looking similar to these: but perhaps with more colors and shiny stuff.

add some teeth and maybe a tounge and you've got a D&D mimic head. At that point they are more like monster heads but they would still be pretty cool and relatively on theme. Alternatively they would also make good minions some examples: xXxXxX

No suggestions for Keelhauliday, but my number 1 request for the Subetaversary is floating gift bags! I love them!!! hahaha I've been sad since they stopped being a thing, it's so fun to open random presents.

I agree I missed seeing them too! I wonder why they stopped doing it?

I assume they placed too much strain on the site/servers? I'd love to see them make a comeback if it were feasible, though!

Possibly, but we have pumpkins, flowers, and some times new years tokens that fly around with the most strain being during Masquerade (a non-floaty holiday).

I think the once a year goodie bags could be made as a week long bonus prize during quests for that week like they did with new years tokens.

Please just one stingray minion. There are Different Kinds* but I'm here on my knees for just one. One item. One minion. We're spoiled for choice when it comes to sharks and I love them but all I want for Keelhauliday is a stingray.

I did look stingrays up and there are some really cool ones even at the Gallery on that article. I like the spotted ones seen here fancy!

We do have the Namta minion, which is a large and pelagic version of the stingray.

huh, weird. Thanks for letting me know. I will individually link to each stingray that was in the gallery I tried to link to.

Also, the Namta looks more like a manta (anagram), which is not the same thing as the stingrays I want.
