I know the sadness of losing those beloved fur babies. It is sad they leave us so quickly. I wish they could live as long as we do, but with all the unconditional love they give, it is amazing to get to have them for as long as we do. Nika was my hospital companion when I was a kid. She brought so much joy and love to everyone she met. She was tiny, as she was the runt of her litter, and just never really grew. She was a mini Schnauzer, and such a blessing. She's been gone about 24 years now, and I still miss her each day.

Yeah, there are a lot of Terracoon hammers....but in the end, it always gets sorted, and for that I am grateful. There have been some nervous times here, when we all that was it, the doors would close for good. Somehow things have worked out, and the powers that be find a way to make it all work. They work SO hard, and there are so many who get their breeches in a knot, but I suppose there will always be those, huh?
