Great snag from the Hustler! He's never given me anything like that!

I didn't do as well as I should have in college, though it wasn't because of partying or anything like that. I just didn't study as hard as I should, because I could get by with a satisfactory average without studying hard. If I had worked harder, I could have had a 4.0 instead of a 3.6, I just didn't. I really should have taken a gap year. I took a year off before I went back for a master's and it made SUCH a difference! I had a 4.0 average when I had to stop mid-way through. I took it so much more seriously. If I just had my undergrad years to do over!

One of the hardest things (within the realm of things we CAN change) is to forgive ourselves our mistakes. I am exhausted carrying all those "if only" thoughts! IF I had a redo option, I could only go back as far as the last birth of my youngest grandchild... My husband said he had a nightmare/thought once and stuck with me forever: that he went back in time and went to a different college, but he looked for me in the college where we met and said "you are not going to believe this but we met before and we have to get married" and we did, but when our first child was born it was a boy (our first 2 are girls) and he fell to his knees and cried, understanding that he had changed the future. So, I only can go back so far... If I could, I think I would go back 3 weeks and ask my son in law to close the window instead of standing on that stool, but this must be the best thing that happened or it wouldn't have happened. I 'gotta' belief that! if I KNEW I was going to get an opportunity to go back, and I could remember what would have happened, I would totally memorise the lottery numbers for that week and buy a ticket! hehehe

You have great karma and magnetic energies! :D

So true -- anything we'd change would change everything. I do tend to beat myself up on what might have been, though!

I don't say the serenity prayer with conviction. I want to internalise that so it's part of my cells! So that I know it like I know how to breathe, without conscious effort. I saw an episode yesterday of Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop (I have no idea what this was, just popped up on Netflix and I started it) but a therapist was talking about the automatic things we do and learning how to undo some of the automatic thoughts that play in our head. It only works when we know what those automatic thoughts are! Crazy! He compared it to driving. When we are driving we can think about lunch and work and lists etc because our automatic self is driving. We are not consciously thinking about the steering and the accelerator that's all background that was learned a (in my case: long) a while ago. But the process of therapy they were talking about was to bring these deep auto-replay thoughts into conscious memory so they can be examined and maybe even changed. I would do that!!! This (click) is such a good message (it's not about the deep deep stuff, but it's good). It's only 1-2 minutes, worth the time.

[box=#eeccff]Yay! I go an urdu plushie from the free shop! I don't have any of those![/box]

Anyone trying for Morostide items from the Carnival? It's just too hard to win with the balloons and ring toss, to my mind, but I don't mind doing the mallarchies regularly. I've only gotten one item, though.

That is fascinating, about the auto-replay memories! I need to change that, too! I really liked the little video. I need to be mindful to put the glass down!

How is your free shop snagging going, everyone? Here are my great grabs so far today:

I also got this from the Mallarchy pond:

Day 4

Wow! My Eevee can now do all the secret techniques of the game...and except for one they're along the lines of what Viorans can do... I still have much to go for my other critters, most are level 25 or less, and the few who aren't are 30 or so.

If I'm going to regain good standing to qualify for federal aid, I can't have the luxury to slack or take things lightly. The only reason I failed the last time was because I was in over my head.

Here's my p.m. haul from the free shop, minus all the duds, of course. 😆

SPOILER (click to toggle)

And from the Mallarchy Pond:

Sounds like you are having a great time with your Eevee game!

It'll have to do, my story has my fursona starting with a dratini. The Eevee is still stronger, though. My biggest gripe is how NPC trainers seem to use a single move or attack...but those I enjoy telling her to chop down.

If I may ask, how has K-PAX been for your husband?

I'm dead tired about trying to sell items I get that are in the tens of millions, so instead I'll give'em away at random.

Oh! I've been meaning to tell you! I gave it to him for Christmas and he devoured it; said it was a 5 star read. I'm so glad you recommended it!

You might be able to make some trades with those items, and get something you would like more. I have several large sP items that will probably never sell, myself.

I look forward to getting the next book, On a Beam of Light. Now if I could make time to start Flatland...

I tend to gift things like that anonymously, to newcomers. Or spoil a friend who might be saddened.

That's a very nice thing for you to do!

I really need to try Flatland again, with time to look up some annotations to help me since I'm weak in math.

FANTASTIC haul there!

I can relate! I went to college mostly on Gov't grants. I got a high risk emergency loan and paid it back right away, and that got me on a good credit list. Plus I graduated Cum Laude and got on the Dean's List. It really helped!

I got which I didn't have! woohoo!

I fixed up my Pearl Knit] pet profile. Most of the coding was taken from [url=https://subetagraphics.proboards.com/board/11/pet-profiles]FallenSamurai's account but some I did myself and I am SO proud of it!

Gypsi's Haul

Major Drills gave me these super cute shoes:

And I got this from the Mallarachy Pond:'

How in the world do I know what to price this? [item2=Skelly Scroll]

Pearl Knit's profile looks great! Well done! Cute hair, too!

Thank you! What does subetalodge say about that item?

skelly scroll MrCool wrote on his website: My personal favorite battle item of the prizes is the Skelly Scroll. Since scrolls cannot be custom coded, this is MUCH more simplistic than the two weapons (although just as useful, if not more useful). The scroll is infinite use and has the following stats:

7-8 physical 4-8 dark 4 earth Blocks 6 dark, 6 light, 6 ice Heals 8% Consumes 14 alchemy points

The 14 AP this weapon takes up is more than Terra Focujin, but so worth it (this is actually fewer alchemy points than equipping both an equally powerful healer scroll and an equally powerful offense/defense scroll). Many battlers label this as a “demigod scroll”, though I don’t think it is necessarily comparable to the other demigod scrolls (Feather Explosion and Swift Blade) as this is slightly weaker in its attack than those, but this also has a superior defense and heal as well as taking up 6 AP less. With this, I’d say it is on the line between god scrolls and demigod scrolls (similar to how I consider Blessed Trident of the Banished One to be on the line between god weapons and demigod weapons). Unless you have a god scroll (Mana Surge/Maelstrom/Tasselled Aegis/Ocean Currents), I would highly recommend using this as your main scroll if you won it (or if you can buy it for a great price).

I got a book earlier that they didn't have any estimated price for, so I'm really wavering about whether or not to let Vlad read it!
