I've finally looked into this, and I can't get this to show as a food because it doesn't behave the same way as other foods. It is a special item, and if I made it into an official Food, it wouldn't work correctly anymore (it would just become a normal food and wouldn't give you the bug items)

So... I do apologize, but we are stuck with how it is right now.

[edit] I am going to look into why it doesn't show up on the "foods left to eat" page. It does count towards gourmand and it therefore should show up on that page.
