Item in wardrobe acting as if not in wardrobe?

The item in question is Kitty Print Leggings. I bought them from a user shop and I definitely own them and have them in my wardrobe, but when I try to use them, they never show up on the site avatar. They also still have the 'Search Shops' button under the avvie where it should say item in wardrobe, but it is in my items when I select 'only items you own'. I tried taking them out the wardrobe and putting them back in and that didn't seem to work either. Help? xD'
Yeah, it seems to take forever for new items to show up in wardrobe. This has been happening to me for the past few days. After 1-2 hours if you go back into your wardrobe and hit the "wear now" button again, it should work. But it could take even longer. Very annoying.

For future reference, here's the big topic that has some information on this issue: Wardrobe+Avatar Problems: FIRST POST UPDATED 5/9 If you run into it again, you can report it there; however it is a known issue at this point that we've been banging our heads against the wall with for a long time. It seems like removing the item and re-adding it from your inventory can sometimes help, but otherwise you might just need to wait it out D:
