Hi everyone; the issue with quests sometimes eating items is being looked into. If you've experienced this, could you please let us know:
Thank you!

Do you remember what items Carl asked for, and said you didn't have?

Did you attempt to buy both items via shop search, and did you get a message saying the purchase succeeded, for each item?
I'm not seeing any logs that you bought these items, and it doesn't seem you lost any sP to them either, so you should be good to try buying them anew to complete your quest.

Thank you for the information! I have a clearer picture of what happened now.
It looks like you received 25,200 sP as the quest reward, however the quest was never marked as finish. I'm afraid we aren't able to manually fix every quest that glitches this way, but I am working on a fix to prevent this issue from happening in the future.

Are you sure? Your logs show that you completed this quest and received rewards for it. Maleria currently does NOT show that you are on a quest; you can start a new quest with her (and you're on quest 14/15 for today).

Okay, well, in the future it's best to just make sure real quick (if it's something easily checked like this) before making a bug report, since it takes up limited staff resources to go through and double-check for you. In any case thanks for your help and have a good rest of the day :)
Thank you very much for the info!

If anyone encounters the issue of quests eating items and/or not completing correctly, please post here with the following information:
Thank you so much! And again we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, and the hassle of all these questions. We are doing our best to sort this out!

Could you please let us know what items Nori took (or refused to take) from you? Without this information, I cannot look into this for you.
I understand you are very frustrated, but I am trying to help. If you want to vent about how you're "outta here" and "might be done with Subeta", please do so in the Bragging and Complaining Forums instead of Bug Reports. You are absolutely entitled to being frustrated, and I would certainly be frustrated as well in your shoes, but this topic is not the place and hurts staff's ability to resolve the issue.

What happens when you visited the cursed quest again? Did you get a message saying your quest timed out?
[edit] Our logs show that you successfully completed the quest and received rewards for it.
I tried to track down what happened to your quest prizes. Both the Orange Lassi and Marsh Oracle Beanbag Chair can be found in your shop, and I also see logs showing you moved them into your shop using Quick Stock about 5 minutes after completing the quest.
I think what happened is that the quest gave you a misleading error message, despite actually working correctly.
Could you please let me know if that was the case? Or did it still show you as on the same quest, even though it took your items and (apparently) even gave you rewards for the quest?

Ah okay, a 504 error. Did you try navigating away and back to the quest page to see if you were still on the same quest? (And if so what did you see?)
The items were placed into your inventory by the quest, but were then quickstocked into your shop. I think you might have quickstocked without noticing them. But it's also possible that the site was lagging and the items took a second to show up in the inventory after being given to you.
If it happens again, that is a good idea. And please post here again like you did just now too - The information is really helpful and we appreciate it <3

For this part:
If this happens to you again, please post here (with all the info) as this is a case I definitely want to investigate an example of this more closely :o
for this:
I'll try to be here right after midnight to look closely at any reports that come in!

Ah okay. Thank you for clarifying!
I think in that case maybe the page double-loaded? So like it completed the quest the first time, but then reloaded for some reason and told you you're not on a quest (because it finished it)
We have had a couple reports of pages double-loading this week. I'll make a note of that.

Thanks for the report! What happened the first time you tried to finish the quest? For instance, did you get a 504, or some other error message?

I've deployed a fix for the quest completion page accidentally double-loading. I think this only accounts for a fraction of the reports, but it should help prevent scenarios where you go to turn in a quest and land on the "You are not currently on a quest page!" but you do receive the prizes and quest completion.
For example I think this is what happened in the following reports (just a couple examples):
I am still working on the other problems, as I think there's multiple factors at play here so I'm working hard to identify and address each one. Thank you again for your patience, and a big thank-you for the informative reports <3

My bad - I think I was unclear. We aren't able to guard against the user double-clicking. Unfortunately, if you manually double-click, you will get an error because only the first click will complete the quest, and you'll land on the error with the second click. The fix above was meant to prevent the browser from reloading the page automatically, which I thought might have happened in some cases.
Anyway, thanks for the reports and we will keep you updated <3

Just a quick update that we are still working on this, and thank you for the detailed reports. <3

I'm glad to hear it seems to have improved (for some people at least?). :)
We have identified at least two potential causes for this sudden issue, and our efforts to fix it are ongoing. Thank you again for your patience and understanding. <3

This sounds like you are somehow double-clicking or otherwise double-loading the page... If not a mouse problem, could it be a problem with your mouse settings or browser? Can you let me know what browser and browser version you are using?
