I don't know if this is bug or done deliberately for some unknown reason, but the link to turn in both Steamwork and Lounge trinkets at the same time suddenly defaults to the news page and doesn't turn in the trinkets.

That link was turning in trinkets on the old system before the shops were added to the special shop list. The link was not reliable so it was removed.
