My list
LSD: Dream Emulator People call the game "scary" but damn if I don't love that game so much. It's an instant replay for me everytime I get to play it. I also love looking at the different textures, including the "LOGIC" texture which consists of Japanese text anywhere in the game. I really vibe with this game since I also lucid dream.
Afraid of Monsters/Cry of Fear It's basically games on Steam that are powered by GMod, and I've only ever seen walkthroughs of these on youtube and the stories are actually really damn good, including the monster designs.
Sentient I've only ever seen like one walkthrough of this on youtube and it's just so weird and trippy?? I'd love to play it on my PS1 emulator one day.
The Dark Convergence I've only seen walkthroughs on youtube and while the story can be a bit cheesy (especially the second game), it's still interesting.
Yume Nikki Can't tell if this counts since I don't see much people talk about it, but I love this game as much as LSD: Dream Emulator and I just love the designs of the areas/creatures in the game, and it's also an instant replay for me; I also vibe with this game like I do with LSD: DE because of lucid dreaming.

I feel like Rune Factory is a pretty obscure game franchise. I forgot the backstory the these games, but I belive it was made the people who developed Harvest Moon (now known as Story Of Seasons). It's basically HM with the farming and dating but you can now stab stuff. I have Rune Factory 4 for the 3DS but I hear it is on the Switch.

The three games that immediately come to mind for me are:
Shining Force EXA I never really hear anyone talking about this! I wouldn't call it phenomenal by any stretch, but the character designs are cute and the gameplay is pretty fun.
Persona 2: Innocent Sin / Persona 2: Eternal Punishment I know that the SMT series, especially the persona counterpart, is always super popular, but no one really talks about the first two -- technically three -- games. Persona 2 is one of my absolute favorites from the series -- the gameplay is fun, the characters are fun, and the story is really emotional even if the initial form of the final antagonist was a little out there. I loved watching Tatsuya make motorcycle noises at monsters until they wanted to be his friend.
The World Ends With You Popularity for this game jumped recently due to it's port to the switch -- AND THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE ANIME, SO HYPE -- but overall it's always been a very obscure love of mine. I identify with the main character so hard, and the whole thing is so goofy while being emotionally impactful too. (Plus, Joshua is amaaaaazing and the music in the game? Forget about it, absolute best game soundtrack out there. Deja Vu, Long Dream, Transformation, Someday, and Lullaby For Your are incredible songs.)
Oh my god, I love Fragile Dreams! That was just such a good story, I played in years ago. My friend mentioned it to me a few weeks ago and I've been meaning to dig it out for a replay.
Tales of Graces f is such a good game! I've actually played most of the titles in the series, except for a few that were never localized. Did Innocence for the DS though because I found a good language patch for it. I did just replay Symphonia and Vesperia recently though.
