The count is off somewhere and I can't find it, but unless my math is incorrect, that would be a total of 2463 books out of a current 2462 books possible. It also reflects this "76/ Sebraxis/ Keeoke/ 2,166" on the High Scores - Most Books Read page, here:
Mine is like this too, it says Carbonite has read 1857 books and has 607 left to go. That adds up to 2464 books total, but there are only 2462 (according to Subetalodge anyway).
I keep track of my books read using SL's collection feature, and on there it says my pet has only read 1854 books. So something is off, but I'm not sure what exactly happened. I'm pretty sure my pet's books read page on here also said 1854 before the recent changes were implemented, and I don't think I've read him any new books since then.
(also even 1854 + 607 would be 2461, so I think something may be off in both counts somewhere)
High Score table is off too. Permanent has read 2462 books but it displays as 2450. I am assuming the newest books from survival aren't be counted by the table
This has been fixed. You will have to visit your pet's Books Read page to get the score to update, and it won't update immediately due to cache. So what that means is the issue causing this has been fixed, but the scores will gradually update to the correct ones over the next few days.
