I was online when the event went live and then did Terracoon yoyo dancing.

I went to VIP, paid for the red new virus, and nothing. Chatted in Discord a couple hours, went away, came back, and 11hrs later I still have the exact same message of:

Voluntary Infection Program Thanks for participating in the Volunteer Infection Program! You've still got some time to wait, but you will receive an event once you've received your chosen virus!

Should I quit and try again?? Is the wait time really that long? Not sure what to do as don't want to have to wait another 11hrs cos it's a waiting line thing.

i did the same thing last night -- paid for green, lurked in the discord for two hours waiting for the alert, went to bed, woke up, no alert, no virus. i just gave up with that and tried the random option a bunch (quitting is still free right now) -- it took a few tries, but i finally have my groceries.

anyway i would strip if you can so it's easy to see the virus and then just do random till you get what you want.

Paid for the Doom strain that seems to have been kissed away, keep seeing Gunther telling me not yet and the Healer not detecting anything so I'm turning in a ticket to request my stain.

Couldn't get one at first until about 11 last night, but now my grosseries (groceries/green pun) bag won't show up. Says that I still have time after about 12 hours of waiting. Hopeful this is fixed soon and will file a ticket to see if they can get my strain started.

Edit: Finally appeared around the 14-15 hour mark for me without changing strains.

I waited to get a new virus after the site being down. Signed up for Yellow but the page kept saying I had a wait. It's now almost 3pm the next day and the page was STILL saying I had a wait and my avatar didn't show any sign of disease. I decided to cancel becoming a zombie then chose White but I keep getting an error saying I'm already a zombie! I'm not wearing a zombie skin or anything. I've tried several times and it won't work. So frustrating since I'd really like to unlock at least 2 skins before the end of Survival.

edit: I changed to a zapper skin, saved my HA, then went back and removed that skin and saved my HA again. Tried signing up for White and it worked so fingers crossed that I actually get a disease this time.

I also signed up over 11hrs ago I'm going on at least 16hrs and have had no progress or have even been infected yet after waiting for the "you're already a zombie" glitch to stop and let me even pick a strain.

When I go to the healer, it says: Oh dear, it looks like you've got unusual skin from the Zapper v2! I can help you with that if you'd like, but it'll cost 25,000sP!

I paid the 25,000sP and then went to my wardrope and resaved my HA. When I revisited the healer, it still gives the same message that I have unusual skin from the Zapper v2! So I guess I wasted the 25,000sP :(

I am still getting the message from VIP but I, too, hate to quit but I don't know what else to do. Apparently, I am some type of zombie because I can also do alchemy but there is nothing showing on my skin in wardrobe.

Help!

The Healer shows me as having a s2 virus but I can't see it anywhere else - on the forums, sidebar, or wardrobe.

Thank you for the information on the hex. I did not know that I had one. Is the hex preventing me from getting one of the random new strains for 2019 from the VIP guy? He is still giving me the wait for an event message. My daughter and I signed up at the same time and she is showing her progression of stage 1 already and got an event message. Can you tell if I am infected with one of the new strains or is there something else I should be doing? Thank you.

I hope it works for you soon! Have you tried changing your skin, saving, then changing back to the first skin and saving again? I don't know why it seemed to work for me but it did.

Mind you, I kept checking at the healer last night and again today but it doesn't say anything so maybe I'm not infected. This is so frustrating lol

The healer preview doesn't show my infection though. One of the staff said in a ticket that I do have it, it's just not showing. I hope this is the case, and I hope once it dos show it will be at the stage it's supposed to be at.

I'm in the same boat, but not seeing anything at the healer, and on the Survival forums I still have the "Bite" option below my avatar. I've been waiting since 11 last night with no word. Should I restart, or just try and get the strain that I want with the random feature? :( Buying it regularly seems to not be working for me.

I've been having issues getting an infection to show. I filed a ticket about it but wanted to post here as well.

Today I backed out of the option to randomly get a virus because biting wasn't working. I figured I'd try the 25k instant option again and it took the sP from me. I got a notification saying "Thank you for using the Volunteer Infection Program! You have been matched with an infection Specialist, now you just need to sit back and enjoy the ride... "

It's been about 5 hours now and nothing is showing up on my HA. Should it take this long?

I had been waiting forever as well then I told them I didn't want to be infected and had to use the 25k express link to get something to finally work.

Where did you file a ticket? Thought I was doing that here.

If you go into the menus at the top Subeta and then Tickets.

I think I'm finally infected. No idea why it worked to be honest. My page glitched out in VIP when I clicked a few buttons and now everything seems to be working fine.
