Yeah for sure. All of those are great ideas and would prevent a flooded market. I don't like the idea of equivalents as much just because that makes me feel cluttered. But I would love a chance to earn things that my pet wasn't strong enough to win previously, even if I have to work harder for it than when it was originally released.

When I say equivalent, it could be an alternative so that the original still retains value. For example, instead of releasing more TA scrolls, you can have a new scroll that heals for 9% but blocks maybe 4 dark and 7 phys or has different attack icons.
Yeah it would have to scale. Lady of the waters dropped TA but that was back when not many people had T12 pets so she was extremely hard to beat. Now I think it would have to be achievements tied to HST, like 100 wins on prodigy. The problem becomes if they ever decide to raise the star cap. Then you're back to potentially flooding the market as time goes by. An alternative to limiting quantities could be releasing as event challenger drops or a ridiculously high number of impossible tokens for a limited time.
-looks at TA scroll with longing- Both times you were available as loot and I was not even close to being strong enough..... -wishful sigh- Maybe one day... lol.
That goes for a lot of other weapons and scrolls too. :)
That's why I was disappointed that friendly challengers are continuing this year instead of alternating with throw-back Thursdays. I'm not unhappy to get new challengers, but it would be really nice to be able to get another chance to face older strong ones.
Yeah, I knew what you meant by equivalent. The collector in me just wouldn't be happy with that haha, I would still want the TA in addition to whatever they would release as an equivalent.
Same, I miss the throwback challengers. Most of them didn't have their original loot though so that wouldn't have helped this specific request, but it's still fun to wipe the floor with an opponent you couldn't dream of beating when it was first released.
I am excited to see what the CS theme is this year.

The battle shop is the absolute stupidest place to rererelease anything. Battle shop tokens are almost worthless.

And that's after burning...several hundred with random boosts and making a mecha. And skipping bqs for like a solid year. ...or two. Idk I wander off a lot.

You could just make stuff worth 2k impossible tokens. Then it encourages people to do BQs and log in every day. I don't see the big deal. You could also rotate inventory so things are only in there for a limited time to not "flood the market"

Putting exclusives into the battle shop wouldn't be that great either. I think it's pretty hard to accumulate large number of tokens at certain tiers.
Impossible tokens are... impossible for me at the moment. It would give a select group of battlers a monopoly over "special" items. The only items I like at those tiers are weapons that you would only use if you were at that tier.
That being said, there should be SOMETHING to spend those tokens on (or converting them).
I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean. Wouldn't that be the point of buying a weapon with impossible tokens? You would win a T11+ weapon for your T11+ pets to use?
Battlers should get some incentives to actually battle. I don't think the battle shop should be the only way to release things. They could also be released through battle achievements and competitive site wide battling events. I don't think there's anything wrong with giving battlers a chance to earn objectively good equipment through the battle shop for a limited time.

It takes me like a month or two of BQing to earn 100 impossible tokens. If the weapons were priced at like 1,000, I would still be able to obtain them, but also have to work for them over a few years (assuming multiple ones are rereleased). Battle tokens aren't transferable so that is a plus. I'm very much in favor of returning those items into the hands of battlers and think this would be a great way.

Putting a high end weapon in the battle shop for something like 2k tokens is fine. Its a stupid place to rerelease something though because the attitude for the item suddenly shifts to I have forever to pick up that item and it becomes super hard to resell. For something that has always been there whatever, but it probably screws current owners over even more than the antique shop or crystal shop

I like the idea of releasing old loot, especially scrolls and other things you might want more than one of, in the battle shop based on a limited-time release. Even if that limit is a relatively long period, like six months or something. If an item was in there for 2k imp tokens, it would probably take me at least that long to save up for it and I would only be able to get one. Perhaps they could rotate, a choice of three items that changes every three months. That would further control release of those items because those of us without 10 capped pets would save their tokens for the things we really want and not just buy things willy nilly.
I'm sure some of those items would still make it to the market, but I really can't see it becoming a problem. And if it's a limited time release, it wouldn't affect resale in the long run.
And actually, if by "affecting resale" you mean that some are now available for purchase where previously none were obtainable, then I don't think that's a bad thing. I don't want rare things to be dirt cheap, but they shouldn't be impossible to find.
