You're welcome ! I'll be on and off today (hubby's been home all day today), but ping me if you have questions - hopefully someone else will be able to help if I'm not here at the moment, but I'll be returning for sure until I hit 120 battles (and I'm only at 33 for today haha)
Okay....have done 100 battles with the big guy, going back to the minis for a bit before bedtime. But here's a rough estimate of the damage I have done so far, I say rough estimate because I may have lost a few of the damages...
Total so far: 474984
On to tomorrow!
Is there anywhere to see how much damage you've done? I completely forgot how this worked, so I didn't look at my damage for my first fight. /edit nvm I saw it in the news post sorry I'm amped up on gelly hype (And I missed day one completely so ...)
bird and bear and hare and fish give my love her fondest wish
ground out 666 losses, done for today. didn't keep track of my damage output bc i went through like 4 sets before i found one that was giving me an average output of 10k damage. hoping when i wake up tomorrow there will be a damage counter.
an absurd grind, though. i'm not sore or anything, but ugh.... that was like... more than 5 hours.
Okay, back from work and ready to go. Got my energy drinks (I've been up since 4.30am, I need them), got some food I can eat quickly without looking away from the computer, got my Youtube vids to stop me going crazy.
Time to kill 300 baby gellies as quickly as possible to get my slayer, then put together a set for the big guy and start chipping.
Use the eyeball, it does more damage. Are you using scrolls to chain freeze? I have shrieks you can borrow.
Try this: set a timer for 5 mins. Keep track of how much damage you do when you chain freeze (overall damage you do in x battles in 5 mins). Then set another 5 mins and track how much damage you do when you use strong hitting scrolls instead of straight freezers. I am thinking at 1k damage per turn, it is better to die quickly and jump back into a battle instead of trying to chip away at him.
Sorry I won't be as chatty until I can see where I am at with my progress. If those are your hardest hitting weapons, use those. Try the same exercise I posted for above. When you are not doing a lot of damage, you may do more damage using bombs and bomb scrolls but die a lot more, instead of trying to live and chip away with chain freezing
Hard hitting scrolls: fatal fire, gale force, Emerging Rifts
Hello everyone! Is there some sort of a strategy guide again the Hygragellos? Or maybe what weapons to use? This is the first year I'm actually trying and Im a bit lost
Just net 41k damage against Hydragellos last fight, WHOOT! 💪
[edit] First turn I use the Scientist Specs for the boost and the sure freeze + a cobalt and recycle blaster, and my strategy is centered around chain freezing him with 5 freezing scrolls, then using 2 full blockers (and hoping for a chance to freeze with my gelaspell scroll), and ending with 5 cobalt scrolls and hitting as hard as I can with my attackers.
jovi helped me get a set with an average of 10k so i'm good i think!
Slayer get! Set made! Let's see how much damage I can manage against the big guy.
...Okay. I'm averaging around 3k per hit, going up over time since I'm using Cronus and boosting. I've seen 14k per hit with a crit which is nice. I'm getting in around a dozen hits per fight before running out of freezers/health. So let's say a minimum of 35k per battle, meaning 429 battles, add a few more to allow for my being really bad at maths and not tracking my damage properly just in case...
Less than 500 battles should see me to the end.
When I remember how horribly painful it was trying to do this with Occlumens two years ago... I'm very happy right now.
Edit: pfft just had a battle that went on for around 30 rounds because he just didn't feel like hitting me I guess. Thanks my dude.
I'm not even bothering to track my progress, just going to slug away at him and wait for the site tracker to come along in a day or two.
good I'm glad you got help!
only 19 losses so far better get on this lol
my hits are still not great but going a few rounds so just keep going i guess.
looking forward to the others coming as well.
THANK YOU! NHS... Think pink this October..
So I've been lurking on this chat the past couple of days, but I'm still kind of confused about hydragellos.
Am I just supposed to keep losing to it over and over again? And I accumulate points from that somehow?
These may seem like obvious questions, but this is the first war I'm participating in, and I want to make sure I'm doing it right. :)
I'm glad it did! Sorry i wasn't more specific, but I don't know how your armory looks, and your pet's stats, so I didn't want to come off as show off, but I'll be happy to share my weapons in case they can be of more assistance (I don't have the greatest arsenal, but they work for me even if I don't do as much damage as other battlers)
just do your best everyone keeps losing to it until the hit points going down..
then everyone wants to get the prizes from it
THANK YOU! NHS... Think pink this October..
Your score is the total damage you do to Hydragellos. Since you cannot possibily beat it, you HAVE to lose, and rack up damage for the final scores. After Satuday/Sunday, you will win prizes depending on how much damage you did. The top prize is +15M damage.
Thanks for the clarification. :) That's what I had figured, but it just seems so weird to keep going into a battle you can't possibly win, I guess I had a hard time wrapping my head around it.
