from a financial standpoint you need to battle them with multiple pets to make them worthwhile from an EXP standpoint, probably to the point where only Jeff, colddragon, kasey and a handfull of others are really getting a financial benefit.

Only Baeunwrath comes close to breaking even with 1 pet, and thats at the T12 and under EXP rate. AT T13, not even baeunwrath breaks even.

Unless you meant to experience in terms of content and something to do, but that's what I was saying. If you look at it purely from whats a good deal standpoint, they pretty much all suck. Some of them do a little more than break even.

The only reason to buy any of them is if you want something to do. It's like renting a movie. Each person can only decide if that's worthwhile to them for themselves.

Financially, they all suck, and I say that as someone who has them all. Their value is in content, not their rewards. The way most people have been answered the question on here though has been in terms of their rewards.

You can use 300 tomes in about 5-10 minutes if your smart about it.

1. Put all your tomes in your inventory
2. Command click each type of tome 3 times to open 3 windows for each type of tome, you should have 31 windows open at a time.
3. Go to the first window, click Use on Pet XYZ
4. Don't wait for the page to load, immediately hit Command W to close the window bringing you to the next tome
5. Repeat until your back in your inventory, and refresh
6. Repeat

As you get closer to running out of a certain tome open fewer windows of it at a time, to prevent getting the you already used this item error and wasting a page load.

I've opened up to 70 windows at a time, that got a bit laggy.

I guess if you look at it like that, then you're absolutely right. The amount of exp you get is probably less than the stats you would gain from boosters for the same investment. Hmm. I'll still buy every single challenger though, since I like the art and it's nice having so many challengers to pick from. And it's kind of fun to go through the armory and scrolls to see what my little pets could be using to defeat certain opponents.

But yeah, definitely no profit from the challengers.

I have 10 pets that battle, at least 5 of which will be trained to T11+. My second pet can already beat most of the impossible challengers at T11. It's nice that the cash shop price now scales with challenger difficulty.

Yeah it gets boring fighting the same challengers every day so the more variety, the better. I like also playing around with builds and seeing which challenger gives which pet a hard time.

Nice of you to mention me, lol, but yeah that was my reasoning for training multiple pets. I figured if I trained more pets and gain extra EXP/loot, then sell/trade the excess loot, it'll compensate for the cost of the challenger. Things have worked out. The biggest benefit to training multiple pets are annual challengers and plots. I'm glad I did that, didn't have to spend as much on boosters because of it.
