the usefulness of this is debatable (esp if you wanna like... play chicken w the price of csc given that we're due a bonus weekend this week i think), but given the immediate current cost of csc (11.2-11.5 w the slight spike up from 10 and a bit):

are roughly equivalent in price between shop search and csc

slightly cheaper off ss (save like 5m)

isn't as cheap as it was but is still much cheaper than csc

Is there anyway you can mark your calendar to remind us around the 27th-28th-29th that the CS challengers will be retiring from the CS again? I mention this since anyone holding out for a BF sale shouldn't. With all challengers being available now I would expect that they will NOT come back this fall.

Hopefully this weekend will be a CS sale for anyone who needs to stock up.

I mean, said in the news comments that no one said they wouldn't also be coming back in November. I think this is just a way for people to get some now without having to wait a few more months, but I don't really see why they wouldn't also come back during Black Friday like they usually do.

But I agree if people can afford to get some of them now, it wouldn't hurt of course.

I meant to respond to your comment about the token economy but battle chat has been cruising with the opponent release.

Tokens are in infinite supply thanks to wizard quests so a few days without tokens for sale is no big deal. Big ticket sales are far a part so people will hoard tokens again at first, but eventually start selling again when safety stocks replenish.

I also don’t think the fragging/recycling trend will last long. The release of these rare items is still new but the general subeta public is very lazy. I think a lot of people will stop grinding due to lack of interest. Only the small group of dedicated fraggers/recyclers will be left since they’ve been doing that from the beginning.

ughhhhhhhhhhhhh I kind of want to buy all the challengers I'm missing because I want to have a COMPLETE SET but also I know some are totally not worth the value and also that's a total of 12.75k CSC but also COMPLETEEEEEEE but also nooooooo.

I think I need to refrain and just buy some good ones and save some USD for some other stuff like RATS

The first two years after CS challengers began they were not available AT ALL -- not even Black Friday. Just because they have been around the past few years doesn't mean they will always get brought back. I would hate to see people put it off and then they don't come back in Nov.

Wizard tokens are super low compared to their historical prices. When you account for inflation they are probably at less than 5% their historic highs. The token shop used to be always stocked like the crystal shop. It wasn't always a giveaway shop that would run out of stock within hours. And a much higher variety of items would retain value over 100K, vs now where 99% of restockable items deflate to less than 75K within 3-5 months.

I'm not saying that a couple of days without tokens for sale is a bad thing. I would actually say its probably the opposite, its a good thing because it encourages more people to quest. People questing is a sign of a healthy economy. It's also a sign that they are hitting the price of a re-released item perfectly and matched supply to demand very well. Vs the horns which are overstocked or overpriced. If the price of tokens are driven up and people still buy them newer players can earn sp faster, which I think we are also on the low side of things.

At one point CSC to WTs were 8mil/500:4mil/1000 or so where now WT have been completely devalued to the point where is 55:3. I'm not sure you could ever get that ratio back, but if it could be done organically, subetas economy would feel a lot more fair, and I have a feeling subeta's sales would explode.

It now seems that with Crithbolcan that I just can't seem to get the second (and probably third, fourth and fifth) wins. We get right down to the wire and then suddenly they beat me..
