Are you sure the minion actually didn't change? If you are looking at the pets.php page, it's on a cache so it might not update with the correct minion for a couple minutes.

Has this happened recently? Do you think it may have happened due to site lag?

...I just zapped a testing pet a few dozen times (with a debug setting to make it always choose the "change minion" option) and I was not able to run into this problem. It even changed it into the specific minions in the first post a few times successfully.

After looking at the code, I think it's likely that this was due to lag or some other database error. I've made an edit to the code that it will double-check and tell you if the minion change failed for some reason, instead of saying the minion changed when it did not.

It's been a couple months without reports - Has anyone noticed this happen recently? We have made several changes to the website that may have resolved this as a side effect since the last report.
