Luckly now snow here. But cold and windy. I am 2 days home and i am doing nothing. So tired of this week,
Anyway i have send out Secret Santa Round 1 smails! Chek yours and reply me back. Sending starts december 2nd!
I always have to drive in the snow :p You just get used to it after a while. Plus mom bought a plow for our truck a few years back so we're never stuck.
I found out what really happened at the accident my Daughter-in-law and granddaughter had. Daughter, Charlotte didn't remember anything except the feeling of flying then seeing her daughter, Bekah's beautiful face. Bekah thought the truck was trying to pass when the trailer hit them. But the driver said the trailer hit ice as he as going in the lane beside them and the trailer slammed into them and sent them flying. Charlotte didn't have a chance to do anything. It was him that called the ambulance and he took full responsibility for what happened. Charlotte is still in a lot of pain. The tylenol3s she was taking gave her a bad itchy rash so had to quit and extra strength tylenol does nothing. She has an appt. and will see if the doctor has any suggestions of something else she can take. There are still lots of prayers going up for her. That reassures her that she will heal and she has to just let everything go and relax and not stew about what she can't do. Our son is taking care of her but is really busy at their camp as they run it year around and have big groups that come every weekend. He worries if he isn't with her she'll try to do things she shouldn't. S|he's already fallen down once when she decided to go from the house to his office to help him. We really know how they feel as now that we're old, we hate to let each other out of our site. Falling is bad enough when you're young but can be life threatening when you're our age. Have a great day everyone! Stay warm and safe and really enjoy your weather if you live somewhere warm. 😄
, I'm glad to hear that it wasn't a stupid head, like we thought and that he did the right thing. I'm so sorry to hear that it was ice, because that's the scariest thing it could have been.. a responsible driver, but something he couldn't control. I hope that maybe he won't try to pass people with his trailer on ice anymore.
I'm sorry she's in pain. The best thing she can do is to heal first and foremost. As for the pain, Tylenol 3 is no joke. I'm sorry it made her itch, but that stuff is addiction forming, I think. Problem is, anything else they can give her for pain is probably going to be just as bad. :( But if she cant relax, she probably wont heal properly either.
@ all you north people - "Ugh! Snow! No thank you!!" said Poppy as she pulls her Texas Cowboy Hat back down over her eyes.
, it was good to know the driver did act responsibly. I am sorry i judged him before I knew what really happened. I agree about the T3's Neither my husband or I can take them at all. We'd rather have the pain than the crazy effect they have on us. So maybe it's a good thing that Charlotte got a rash from them. Hope the doctor can prescribe something else that works without the side effects. She won't take anything longer than she has to.
I'm ready to move to Texas for the winter. Got an extra room? 😆 Don and Charlotte lived there while they were learning Spanish and working in an orphanage in Mexico part time. We visited them and it was great. They weren't far from Padre Island which we enjoyed
PS, I'm writing on here because when I make a new post they say I can't post twice. BUT I didn't. Whah
Thank you . Ice scares me too. We just got new tires put on and I do notice the difference on how they grip the road. Makes me feel a little better but haven't been driving on ice yet with them.
Thank you . I'll start backing my bags. 😆
I am sorry to hear about the accident. I am glad they are okay. That is why I hate driving in icy, snowy weather.
Hello 🐱 🐶
[flower=shirastardust]
I've not been to Padre Island. Hubby is born and raised here, I am originally from Louisiana, so it's not that different for me here. I could do without the scorpions...
You can move in with me, ! I'm in the Austin area. :D You'd love it here.
- It's good to see you around. <3
