I saw the site break (went to the pumpkin patch, switched tabs to go trick or treating, and in the space between the two, BOOM, code explosion!), and it was so epic I made a screencap to show my friend who wasn't online. XD Thank you and for all your hard work!

also, whenever you guys are working on the site, i can't help but imagine you all linked up with high-tech headsets surrounded by heaps of screens and buttons and switches, and it's like a war-room, dimly lit and dramatic as King Keith is firing off instructions and everyone is working at top speed to find and fix every little issue as it springs up. like "error found in the forum district!! deploy the insert name for sufficiently cool sounding error smasher here STAT!!" pew pew pew all the lights turn green and the beeping buzzers disappear everyone sits back and wipes the sweat from their brows "phew that was close...problems resolved folks" buzzers and lights start blaring immediately and everyone is back to frenetically tapping their keyboards and flicking switches and squinting at screens and swearing "it's the wardrobe! why is it always the Shinwa be damned wardrobe?!!"

but i know it's probably not that dramatic XD and we'll always be on the sidelines cheering you on!! ❤ or clutching our pets to our virtual bosoms and cowering in the bomb shelters until it's safe to emerge once again

I can recall maybe one site event where the site didn't lag. It's just one of those things that we've gotten used to over the years. And it's not for lack of trying - almost every time they've attempted to mitigate the lag in some way or reimburse us for putting up with it. I don't think it's fair to be cynical, they are doing their best.

please respect that and and all others are doing their best, don't forget when the site would go down for days. we've gotten much better, so please, try to be more positive. i know it might be difficult for you, but the coders are people with feelings and they read comments like this and get demoralized. i know i would.
