Did anyone else notice that Quentin is now looking after the pumpkin patch? It’s begining....

So this is a neat idea, with the vase reliquaries bound, but...is it intentional that they can be fragged?
They can't be moved out of the inventory or traded or sold, but they sure can still be fragged, even accidentally.
I hope people are super careful around the fragger if they want to keep their vases!
I might just lock mine just in case, but maybe Staff should change the rarity of them?
I didn't notice the fragging, but I see that the Reliquary can be deleted. It doesn't seem like either of those should even be an option if they're required for the plot.
I almost feel like they shouldn't have been given out as prizes yet if we can't do anything with them yet. Like they could have just been shown on the map next to the armored dude until he was done with them and then you can bypass all this account-bound weirdness. Of course I say that without knowing exactly what's coming, but still.

It seems like they're account-bound for the duration of the plot so that people can't send them to each other to bypass solving the puzzles. Like you can't just have the reliquary in your inventory and go back to the Dungarde and trick it into thinking you earned it yourself.
I think once you complete the step where you get the dialogue saying the Dungarde used the heart, you probably don't need the reliquary anymore.
That said, I wish I could toss mine in my vault or leave it with the Dungarde because I'm out of lock slots currently but I mean. It's not the WORST thing because the only items I'm really getting are Morostide ones that get tossed in a gallery anyway but it's still frustrating (but I also fully accept that it's a me problem so ¯(ツ)/¯ )
- That doesn't even make sense because they can just check to make sure you've completed the puzzle, like they've done in the past. Verifying plot progress by checking for specific items in your inventory is just asking for problems. :x

Yeah that's true, but it's the only reason I could really think of. Unless they will be used later, but I don't think so because mentioned in another thread that it shouldn't mess up the plot if you accidentally delete it.
That's probably smart. I've got all my lock slots in use, so I guess I'll just do my best to be careful.
I guess I'm mostly unsure as to the purpose of the reliquary (I'm sure we'll find out). If it's just decorative and pretty, I'm not sure why it needs to be account bound unless it's literally just a test to see how account binding will work in practice. If it's a tracker to determine who's completed puzzles or is required for advancing through plot, then I'd rather see it coded so that you can't get rid of it in ANY way until the end of the plot.
It's a weird contradiction.
Besides the fragging, do people know if these items can be zapped by the pet zapper? I've locked mine assuming they are't safe, but if we keep getting these items every day, then I'll run out of locked slots, and maybe I'll stop zapping.

Hello, I can answer some questions as a site programmer:
The plot steps check for completion, so there is no way to cheat around it. If you delete or lose the item, that won't affect your ability to progress in the plot.
If you "lock" the item in your inventory, it should be safe from anything that can take items. If something is still able to take a locked item, please report this as a bug.
Additionally I can pass on this message from : If you accidentally lost a Reliquary, please make a ticket and ask for Amber and she will handle it :)

Then why are they account bound in the first place?

I'm replying to let you know I'm not ignoring your question, but I can't give an accurate answer since I'm not an Item Admin. I see reasons for it but I shouldn't speak on their behalf. My post above was mainly just to answer some questions about the coding (like whether it would affect plot completion, etc) since people were (understandably) worried and I wanted to address that :)

Oh, ok. Well thanks for taking the time to answer some of our other questions. :D

I will agree, if there's no plot related point to these items, then why account bound them? There's presumably six more days of "welp, fragged/zapped my ___".
Why not just send them to a "plot inventory" where the site logs the step was completed thus this user has access to x item(s) at the point of which they either need them or the plot ends.
i'd honestly really love if these weren't account bound so that i could shove them in my vault... they do take up inventory space and i've got all my locked slots used x; especially when like, looking at the item directory there's gonna be quite a few of these to hold on to! (i'll hold my tongue on 'but i wanna use them in TCs!!!' since i assume i'll be able to do so after the plot haha)
There was the whole liquid sparkly detergent/bucket/mop items from the Matthieu scavenger hunt. I know we didn't get to keep those and there wasn't any account binding. So maybe we get to keep the reliquaries when the site event is done?
oh how interesting LOL that made me go look and it seems like you can move them from the mass add on the TC page?
but when i click the item in my inventory im just shown this
either way, thanks for pointing this out! time for me to shove those into a TC :lc
