well, yes, that's what I meant about still needing to be mindful about hair placement! If a wig is designed to incorporate the ear, that's not gonna change.

Like, I generally make wigs with the ear cutout even if they don't really need it just so people can wear earrings. It would be nice to not have to worry about that (plus if we had an ear layer, we could easily incorporate that into working files to check and see if there are weird stray pixels.)

I know, that's why I gave examples of things that'd go wrong (or wouldn't work). It's a good idea in theory, but we both know most people would just go with what they want without double checking if it actually worked. Like, I love diversity. I love that some wigs have a hairline that's close or far back. Not everyone is the same. But I also know that this would most likely make it 'worse' (and by that I mean 'oops, I accidentally made these almost unusable'). The ear is basically keeping some form of guideline. Even with it I've personally had to redo hairlines.

I didn't want to say anything but when skimming I saw a couple of things that needed to be clarified. o-o Also, since I tend to do a lot of skeleton HAs: + or will cover up your ear and will let you lay the skull ink over it.

Thank you. I also had to use facial hair to get some of the contouring but now that ear won't bother me. :)
