Yuck, they're literally hard marshmallows. (Though there's a joke about it that I particularly enjoy and described my experiences with it as a child quite well.) Pecan sandies? (Which, in the even they're unknown, are basically pecan studded shortbread cookies.)

Yummy, I've never had them, but I vole shortbread and pecans and they sound wonderful together!
