I tried switching between the "show all" and "show your items" and the wardrobe only worked for me when I did "show all". That wouldn't be so bad except I can't show all for layers (in other words, if I click on "chest" for example). So, I can't filter by layer without having the infinite load screen. So, I ended up having to wade through hundreds of pages of items while I try to search for the particular items I want. I put up with it for about 7 pages before I called it a day and made my HA in the old wardrobe.

Man, I can't get the old wardrobe to even start! :) I really wish the wardrobe issues could be fixed already, this really stinks.

Ugh, I know! The issues seem to be all over the place for people. Some don't seem to be having any issues at all with the new wardrobe. Other people seem to only have issues getting the Hair Salon to work. Some can't access their saved outfits. Others, like myself, can't get the new wardrobe to work at all but can get the old wardrobe to work. I don't know what I'd do if both wardrobes failed on me. My whole life on Subeta is built around quests and HAs lol.

Private Outfit that variability is so annoying, because not only will it take longer to tackle each bug, instead of one and done, its awful trying to give people helpful tips/workarounds.

Right now the old wardrobe doesn't work for me at all - except the organize item page. The new wardrobe mostly works for me (LOL except the organize item page). I do get the infinite loading thing at times, but its not constant, so I can access my items. LOL though I can't access "all items", that gives me the infinite load. Sometimes my CWs show up, other times they just want to load infinitely. Reducing what items are called for often helps - either going through drawers, or typing in a keyword. Of course, when I type in a key word - I get items show up quickly, but then they disappear again and I get the infinite load (I think its taking the first couple of letters I type and searching based on that, then runs another search after I finish typing the whole word).

Sometimes switching between options (show CW, don't show, changing sort order, etc) will work to get the spinning to stop, but not always. Its always a crap shoot whether or not the wardrobe will work at all, and even the workarounds and solutions I've worked out only help sometimes.

Its so frustrating even though, from what I read from others' comments, I suspect my wardrobe is working better than most.

I feel like they put out an extremely beta version of the wardrobe and, rather than use that for testing (which is what most places generally do with beta versions of anything), they decided it was time to deprecate the old wardrobe and move everyone on to the new one. On the main page of the old wardrobe they say that it's "highly recommended" that you use the new wardrobe and that they will be "shutting down this wardrobe soon" (in reference to the old wardrobe). So, you push something out that is still in it's very early stages of production/useability and then you want people to use that thing exclusively, how does that make any kind of sense? They really should have kept this in testing a few months or so longer and then pushed it out once they worked out the major kinks. I fully expect hiccups to happen every now and then with new features (and even old features) on websites. That's the nature of code. However, what I don't expect is to be told (essentially) that I HAVE to use this new feature and the new feature has MAJOR hiccups that make it virtually impossible to use for a large portion of the userbase.

- The sad thing is they did start out that way, and we told them the problems, issues, and bugs. Then they fixed some of them, but not nearly all of them and then set it loose on the site in general, still full of bugs they knew were there! Features half implemented and other crap.

I feel like the situation with the wardrobe is similar to the crumbling foundation of a building or cracks in a dam. When they first rolled out the new wardrobe during Masquerade, there were a few big problems that prevented people from even being able to use the wardrobe at all. So, they fixed some things in the code to allow people to be able to use the wardrobe. I feel like that fix was similar to just putting a temporary patch on a crack in a foundation or a dam. It's not meant to hold forever, it's just meant to hold for the time being until there's a better fix or a better time to fix the issue. The idea behind that, though, is that the fix would happen ASAP and now months or so down the road. With the current wardrobe issue, they've put a band-aid on a gaping wound and they're hoping like hell that it holds. Unfortunately what's happening is that crack in the foundation, the issue in the code, is starting to cause other cracks in the code. So now, you have all these little stress fractures, these little cracks, that are starting to add up and, eventually, that foundation is going to crumble, the dam is going to burst before too long and you're going to end up with massive problems that are going to be a pain to fix. They should have tackled this problem early on and fixed it before telling everyone to start using the new wardrobe.

I agree! The problem is that their whole philosophy is like that. The reason they've forced everyone into the new wardrobe in the first place was because the dam is broken on the old one. I can no longer use the old one at all, and I know many others are in the same boat. I think they're at the point where they can't even bandaid the old one, so they had to bandaid the new one and push it out completely unready instead.
