We didn't used to have it here either. But with big sales in the US, our merchants felt they had to do it here too, or people would simply go spend their money down south. Competition...forcing bad practices.

yeah. I don't doubt there are lovely people who do black friday shopping, but it can bring out the bad in even generally good people and I don't even want to talk about the effect on people who aren't so good to begin with!
