This thread is amazing and as someone with a short attention span and a massive fear of failure, I'm definitely gonna try some of these things. Here's some more:
A really basic ukelele costs about $20, and you only need about 3-6 chords for most songs. Will probably take longer than a day before you're playing songs, but some people can learn it within a week.
Assuming you have a phone with a camera, photography's free. It won't look pro at first but it can be fun to go around taking photos of stuff from weird angles.

Some coding is SUPER easy and can completly make a difference to how things look. just changing the bold or links for example :D
Some possible ideas:
-baking
-writing poems (free and easy to learn!)
-using candy melts to make your own chocolate candies (some candy melts and an ice cube tray can cost less than $10)
-cupcake/cake decorating (could range from just a couple bucks to $20 or more depending on how complex you wanna go)
-bullet journaling? I've never tried it so I'm not sure how difficult it is.
-drawing
