Callista noticed Jona leaving, though she was busy paying for the owl and the supplies she'd need to take care of him. When she had finished, she glanced over at Zoe. "What's up with him? Is he okay? Sometimes I really don't think Jona likes me much."
She finally saw Paddy and waved to her. "Do you want to come and have tea with us? It'll be fun."

Zoe had really no idea if Paddy liked fashion so she shrugged. "Ooh pretty owl," she said as the clerk brought out the one Callista would pick. "I got a barn owl. Ye wanna see? I can lift up the cover. I named him Jareth." After a few moments she said, "Maybe give yer owl a fashion name?"
Zoe found this news from Jona very strange. No money to spend at Hogsemede? She frowned. "Well I can buy somethings for ye if ye want." She didn't have a lot of money but she was always happy to share. "I've still got some pocket money and of course the money Uncle sent me."
"Then lets meet you at Honeydukes," Blade said to Sauvage with a nod, though he wasn't entirely sure if he was breaking the news then.
As Jona got squirrely, two things happened. Zoe shook her head to Callista and said, "he gets awkward and I don't think he realises the party is later." As she was about to stop Jona from leaving, Blade and Nimah entered. And Blade collided right into Jona. Fortunately, for the boys, the clerk saw and used magic to keep them both upright. Blade looked at Jona and said, "er, sorry. my fault."

"Cute!" Callista said, smiling at Jareth. "Barn owls are super cute. Jareth like in that movie? the Goblin king? Imagine if goblins actually looked like that!"
She glanced back over at Blade and Jona. "Are you both all right? Jona, tea is at two in the afternoon. First of all because we're actually having high tea, and second of all because there's no way Madam P would let me have that much space in her shop during lunch rush. If I didn't pay in advance I could hardly get the back parlour as it is, too many people go there for dates!"
Maybe knowing that everything was already paid for would ease Jona's mind.
She put a charm on the owl cage to make it lighter--a Verreaux owl is heavy, but she'd wanted an owl that could carry packages. "I finally got round to getting an owl. I'm definitely going to need him all the more now that I can't sneak out of the dungeons and email people from up on top of the Astronomy Tower," she said, giving them all her best Most Innocent Face.

((and all))
"Yeah and love the heart shape mask." Zoe was positively euphoric that Callsta knew who Jareth was. "AYE! Tis one of my favourite movies. Mum would pop it on when I was sick, lay me on the sofa with drinks and a blanket. I sing all the songs too. Mostly to the chickens in the morning when I feed 'em. It'd be cute if they did! I think the goblins look adorable. Poor Jareth. He only did what Sarah asked. Well, he wanted to control her too, but really he wasn't a bad guy. And soooo hot." She blushed a little.
Blade nodded. "I'm not hurt." He waited to make sure Jona was okay. He had no idea what the tea thing was about but that wasn't his business. Suddenly he got an idea. "Er, Callista, could I use that spiffy mobile thing please?"
Jona rubbed the back of his neck mumbling a "sorry" to Blade and an "I'm fine" to the others. He was beginning to realize that not joining the girls in their tea party was creating more unrest than he expected. He shrugged his shoulders and said, "Okay." After that, he just kind of stood around awkwardly, not quite sure knowing what to do. It was weird being in a place meant entirely for shopping when he didn't have any money.
Meanwhile, Sauvage entered the tea shop to browse the loose teas they presented along intricate shelving. She wondered if Blade was going to be okay with the news he had received. And about Niamh and how she would handle the situation. And, of course, she thought of Fade. She would not admit it to anyone else, but she was starting to miss him. He seemed to get caught up in school very easily.

Callista didn't think Jareth was quite so benevolent, but he had definitely been hot. She was thinking about that and then Blade requested to use her phone. He looked upset, too.
"Sure, but do you know how to use the phone? Do you have the number of the person you are trying to reach? Because you'll need that. And it'll show that Callista Zabini is calling them."

Zoe gave Jona a hug. "Glad ye aren't hurt," she said. "Ye don't have to come to the party if ye do nee want to. I have a book with me if ye'd rather read." She'd kept her voice down so no one else would hear.
"It's my fault. Sorry Jona," Blade said. He nodded to Callista. "Yeah I just tell it the name of the person and where they are and bingo." But then she told him he was wrong. It wasn't at all like the floo network. He hung his head and looked like he was about to cry. He shifted his face and the expression was quickly gone. "Oh... okay then. I don't have a number." He shrugged like it wasn't a big deal. "Okay, well have buy my owl." He said have to buy not want. "Er, sir, I need a strong owl that is the most versatile and will hunt for itself."
"Hmm, what about the Eurasian Eagle Owl? Got a nice female here." He pulled out a beautiful owl with bright orange eyes.
Blade nodded. "She'll work." He prayed she wasn't too expensive, but a good owl would be essential. "She's pretty too. I guess I'll name her Mavis." It meant songbird or song thrush.

Callista patted Blade's shoulder gingerly. "Who is it? If the number isn't private, I might be able to look them up." She'd seen him at the post office, but they hadn't spoken. What had he got in the post to put him in such a mood?
She fed her owl another treat. "I wonder what sort of a name you will want," she said thoughtfully.
Sabrina sniffed at the owl cage curiously. Callista gave her a treat, too, but a cat treat.

((and all))
"Klaus Albrecht," Blade said. "He might have a number at his office but I'm not sure or if its private. He's in Bremen, Germany."
Zoe gave Jona a glance what was going on?
"We're cool," Jona nodded to Blade casually. Both boys seemed too out of it to realy care about the collision.
Jona nodded when Zoe had whispered to him, but he didn't want her to change her plans for him. Why couldn't the girls just let him go? It's like everyone insisted on being together all the time. That's when Jona noticed that Sauvage was the only one of the group who'd come today that wasn't here. Lucky, he thought.
Then he noticed the concerned glance at Zoe and managed a convincing smile. It wasn't something he wanted to talk about, mostly 'cause he wasn't sure of himself what was going on. He just felt confused and sad and angry all the time but he couldn't figure out where the feelings came from. Aloud he said, "It's fine. I don't mind going to tea with you guys, but...I've never actually had tea. My family was always coffee or hot chocolate-drinkers."
Sauvage decided to sit and have nibble on some cake while she was stopped in the tea shop. She noticed all the couples around her, but felt quite confident by herself. The strawberry cake was delicious and her mind was preoccupied with which teas to purchase to take back to the dorms.

Callista typed the name and city into a search engine to see what came up.
Jona's comment took her completely by surprise, though. "Madam P has coffee and hot chocolate, and you don't have to drink tea if you don't want to!" Callista explained. "High tea means that we will get sandwiches and sweets and hot drinks. Everything will be tiny and pretty and very delicious, and because it will all be tiny you can try a lot of different things without filling up on just one, although there will definitely be enough food that you can fill up. That's why tea is my favourite meal."
There were apparently multiple people named Klaus Albrecht in Bremen. One of them was an official at a Red Cross hospital. One of them ran a taxi service. And there were at least four more.
"Blade, can you tell me which of these people it is? The hospital official, that's not someone we will be able to get through to, but I might be able to get to some of these others. If I can't find a phone number I can send them a Facebook message, but if they don't get back to me while we're away from school it could be awhile before we hear anything."

Blade petted Mavis absentmindedly as the clerk got a cage and treats for him. He wasn't sure if Callista would find him and if she did, what he would say.
Zoe just had no clue what to do. She decided she'd leave Jona alone. Something was up but she wasn't going to push. Something was up with Blade too but again wasn't going to push.
"Do you see a music composer?" he asked. He peered over and pointed to one that looked promising. "That one says music..."

Callista nodded. "Okay, this guy then. He's an awful lot older than us, though...?"

"I'd hope so..." Blade said, "cos that's my grandfather."
Jona leaned silently against the counter, just becoming aware of Blade's urgency. He caught Zoe's eyes and gave her a questioning glance, wondering if she knew what was going on with Blade. Suddenly, his own problems seemed so trivial and stupid.

Callista nodded. "Okay," she said. "There's a number here. I can try it. But ... you probably don't want to have this conversation in here, do you?"

Blade's heart was in his throat. What would he say? Maybe this was a bad idea? Maybe he should forget talking to his granddad? Maybe he should focus on plan A for the moment. Just buy the owl, buy parchment, a few books, some sustainable plants and go from there? What to do? What if his grandparents said no? Granddad had always been kind to him, loving. But fear of rejection was mounting as she showed him the number. He had till the end of the term. So maybe he should calm the hell down and breathe. "I'm sorry, I was kinda panicking and I should be calmer. Forgive me." He clapped his hands together and said, "okay shopping. Soo where are you all to next? Nimah getting a pet? I outta pay for my owl. We are meeting Sauvage at Honeydukes. She went to look at that tea store."
Zoe just lifted a brow and lightly shook her head to Jona.
The mood was tense, so Jona did the only thing he felt qualified in doing. "Here, here! It's time to eat so much candy that our bellies ache and our minds turn to mush! You - !" Jona pointed at Blade. "Pay for your owl. You - !" He thrust his finger towards Niamh. "Quickly, visit the pet shop. You - !" He pointed collectively at Callista and Zoe. "Follow me to the place where heaven touches earth and happiness takes the form of suspicious jelly beans." He placed an invisible captain's hat on his head and nodded self-assuredly. "It's time we head off to Honeydukes."

Callista frowned and leaned in rather closely, her voice soft. "Look, I don't know what's going on, but I don't know how long it will be before we can all get off campus again. If you need to talk to your grandfather, you'd better do it now while we have the chance, and before something worse happens. I don't know what is wrong. You don't have to tell anyone else. If you want, we can go somewhere out at the edge of town and join everyone else at Honeydukes after you've talked. I'd let you talk to him yourself, but you do not know how to use a phone and you're going to need me to help you if you lose the connection. Which can happen when there's a lot of magic around."

Zoe giggled with Jona. He was too cute. She went over to the clerk and told them off the arrangement. She was so pleased. "I got Jareth as my birthday gift." She giggled at how silly it sound.
"It's okay," Blade said, "I just got carried away. I really do appreciate it. Today is about fun, so I'll calm down and breathe. Sorry for the er outburst."
