((and all))
"Thank ye, Jona," Zoe said smiling and moving her hair away from her back. The lotion felt cool on her skin. She put the remainder on her feet and face. "AYE!" she pointed to a shop near the food and drinks. "Let's go look around and see if we wanna buy some souvenirs. Duncan, come with us." Zoe waved shyly at the girls and Drew.
((OOC - Okay. I'm back))
Millie had stayed behind under water. She was an experienced diver and loved the peace and quiet. She decided to resurface when she felt a hunger pang. She slowly ascended and walked up the beach. She noticed Zoe () and Jona () walking off towards the gift shop. Millie grabbed her small bag with her coins in it and ran to catch up with them.
Once she did, she noticed Zoe was burnt. "Oh, Zoe, you got burnt. Here, I have just the thing to take the sting out." she reached into her bag and pulled out a small container. "My dad made it. He is a healer. It won't get rid of the burn but it will help with the discomfort.
Where's everyone else? I stayed behind under the water for a few minutes." She asked as they walked into the shop.
(anyone I missed)
Duncan barked excitedly when Zoe and Jona returned ashore. While all the students were in the water, she had been relaxing in the shallow water and chasing small crabs. Now she came scampering up to the two, leaving little puppy paw prints in her wake. Jona looped his elbow around Zoe's and sang the yellow brick road song from The Wizard of Oz. That's when Millie met up with them and asked about the others. "They're all still underwater," he said simply. Once they walked inside, he looked around in awe and said to both girls, "Well, where do we start?"
"Oh hey Millie," Zoe said. When the girl handed her a remedy for pain, the girl was thankful. "Aww thank ye. Do ye have another one for Jona? I think they're all swimming unless we missed someone. Ye coming to the shop with us?" She smiled happy Jona was in a good mood now. She agreed with the awe. "Wow this place has everything! I guess here and work our way down?" She pointed to the sign in the back of the shop.oh look I see some 5 gallon tanks with filters and heaters for betta fish. "Oh, How cute."
(and everyone else)
"Y-You really d-do like pearls..." They said softly as they listened to Callie talk. "M-My grandmother h-has a set m-my grandfather m-made for her..." It was how he had proposed since rings were nearly impossible to construct with materials underwater. Toru had always thought that was incredibly romantic and it was a precious family heirloom that would eventually be passed to their mother and hopefully one day to them. "I-It's getting to b-be about mid-day...S-Should we head back for l-lunch?"
(and all)
Blade heard Toru ask if they should get lunch and his stomach growled. He sighed. They probably should. "Come on Nimah, let's go eat. Paddy, Magnus come on, lets eat." He didn't want Paddy left without an experienced diver and wasn't sure what Magnus' ability was. Blade, and those who decided to ascend left for the beach.
Once on the beach, Blade looked over at the shop and sighed. He had no muggle money. He could look but he wouldn't be able to buy anything unless someone was nice enough to convert his gold for him. If they did, he would have to hide whatever he bought from his parents. Magnus caught the gaze and said to everyone, "Let's go look in the shop too! Eat first?"
Blade went to the large buffet and picked some food at random and a large cold drink and went to the table and chairs to eat.
(it's too hot indoors for my brain to function properly today, so sorry this is short!)
(and everyone else)
"You know when you've been in the water too long, when your skin goes all crinkly" Niamh said to Blade with a laugh as she headed back to the beach. Spotting Blade looking at the shop, she had an idea, "d'ya want to have a look at the shop later? I thought I could get you something in return for the Conch you gave me."
Paddy was enjoying herself, but her stomach was growling so she knew better than to leave it too long before getting some food. She picked out a couple of sandwiches and some other goodies, and joined Blade and the others at the table.

(no worries)
He chuckled at Nimah's comment. "Yes, prune fingers are a big trend today."
He looked over from his musings at the shop and nodded. "I would like to look around," Blade said, "but no need to get me anything. The conch was free."
Magnus had fruit, chips, sandwhiches and an ice cream. "This looks yummy. So how'd you like swimming Paddy?"
"Oh" Millie responded to Jona (). "I guess they moved away from where I was at the reef. I thought they left me behind but I guess I left them behind. Whoops"
Millie smiled at Zoe (). "You're welcome. A little bit goes a long way, so there's plenty in there for Jona too. And I'd pass up a chance to go shopping" she said with a laugh. "I'd love to see what kind of pearl jewelry they have. I love pearls."
They walked into the shop and she took it all in. "Wow. there's so much. I don't know what to look at first. Should we start on the right side and love inwards?"
"That's so interesting!" Kiara said when Toru explained about the pearls. "Wait," she said to Callista, "You make clothes?" She'd noticed the older Slytherin girl was always well dressed, but she didn't really know anything about her.
Kiara had eaten some when she first got to the beach, but swimming tends to make one hungry. "That actually sounds like a great idea, Toru," she said. "I just want to pick up a few shells before we head back." She swam down to the seafloor again to look around, and picked up a few that were still pretty intact. One she picked up still had a crab in it though. "Oops!" she said, seeing the hermit crab quickly pull itself inside it's shell. She put it back down on the rock. "Sorry, Mr. Crab."

"It sounds like your grandparents also loved pearls, Toru." Callista sighed wistfully. "I guess we should go back up. I should probably at least go check to make sure Sabrina hasn't destroyed anything she couldn't or shouldn't eat!"
Leaving a serval unattended for very long was never a good idea, no matter how pretty it was under the sea.
Then she caught Kiara's question. "I make, alter, and design things. Clothes, accessories, and even decorations. I'm going to be a designer!"

Toru laughed softly when Kiara disturbed a hermit crab while hunting for shells. They were going to wait patiently for her to finish since it was best to travel as a group. "Callista-Senpai's t-things are beautiful..." Toru admitted with flush cheeks as they gently began padding toward the shore with the girls in tow.
They gently popped the bubble around their head and went to see if they could join their friends for lunch after getting a reasonable plate of light foods.

"Thanks, Toru." Callista beamed at them, always pleased to hear that people liked her work.
Sabrina bounded up to her as she reached the shore. Fortunately, she had been having a lot of fun catching and eating small crabs, and had not tried to steal food from the lunch spread. Callista quickly disappeared the mess she had made with a flick of her wand, so that nobody would be grossed out by finding it.
"You've been a good kitty," she told the serval, skritching behind both of the cat's big striped ears. "What a great huntress you are."

Zoe nodded and gave some medicine to Jona after taking some herself. "Sounds like a good idea," Zoe said to Millie. "Any idea what ye wanna buy?"
Blade was nibbling on his salad as people sat around him for lunch. "Hey," he said hopefully sounding friendly. He extended his arm to where there was space when he saw Toru looking. It was an invitation to sit.
Magnus was also about to tuck in to his food and slid over to make more room.
"Mmm" Millie said. "I'm not sure. I'm thinking about a bracelet. Do you know what you want, Zoe ()?"
She looked around the shop and said, "Perhaps when we finish here, we should get something to eat. I'm pretty hungry myself."
"We could go eat first," Zoe suggested. "No idea. I guess something shinny."
"It's up to you and Jona (). I mean, I'm pretty hungry but I can wait a few minutes." she told Zoe ()
"I want something shiny too. Shall we look at the counter over there?" she pointed to the brightly lit counter with the pearls and other jewelry.
"Nice!" Kiara said, in response to Callista. "I like clothes, I go shopping with my brother a lot. I avoid shopping with my mom because she doesn't get my 'style' but my brother and I like the same sort of stuff. Makes Christmas shopping easy!"
She swam after them, lagging behind a little as she paused here and there to look for more shells. Once on shore, she squeezed the water out of her hair, and then bent down to pet Sabrina. "Hello again," she said. She found her shorts up on the beach where she'd left them, and put her shells in her pocket.
When Blade invited them to sit and Magus moved over, she plopped down next to Magus and grabbed a menu. "What'd you get?" she asked, peering over at his plate.

The Hufflepuff was a little glad they had moved to get their food when they did since Callie's serval had padded over to her the minute she was on the beach. They had settled on a small salad and several pieces of sushi and maki. Toru sat down on the other side of Blade, assuming Nimah sat on the other. "Thanks for the food." They said in Japanese quietly before giving Blade and Magnus a small smile. "T-Thanks for the s-seat." Despite them loving to swim, they would probably check out the gift shop while their food digested and hoped there would be enough time for another dive before the trip was over.

Callista nodded along. "If you know your own style, sometimes it's better to shop by yourself or with like-minded friends than with family," she agreed, wringing her own hair out, then scooping her jewellery up out of her towel and putting it back on. It took her a few minutes to untangle her headpiece because Sabrina had found that, too, and played with it--at least none of the chains had been broken.
Callista had eaten some sushi on arrival and wasn't particularly hungry, but she noticed the jewellery stall. Pearls!
Callista bought several pieces made from coloured, slightly irregular pearls; she also spoke to the stall owner, who sold her some "loose" pearls (they were on a string for convenience, but hadn't been made up into finished jewellery) for her own designs. After a few minutes' conversation, she got them to bring out a few things they hadn't expected to sell to teenaged students and selected some pretty shell cameos, including a dark one she planned to use with black pearls in a present for Liane Malfoy.
She also selected some very irregular, unusual and startling pieces that made her think of Wayland. Perhaps she'd use them for his accessories. Men and boys were often less creative with accessories, but she thought Wayland would at least listen to her suggestions, and black pearls, maybe with some bismuth crystals--now that she knew more about growing them, she'd grown some fairly big ones--would suit him.
Where were the rest of the Slytherins, anyway? Most of them were still on the beach sunning themselves quietly, apparently.
After her shopping, though, and wrapping her parcel carefully, she did want to eat.
And there was Zoe. "I like that bracelet," she told the other girl, determined to avoid all sensitive topics this time. Zoe had been all out of sorts all day and it seemed to be contagious--Jona was hanging back from everyone a bit as well, now.
Callista was concerned about it but didn't know enough yet to have formed an opinion, other than that Jona, like Toru, was too young for someone her age or Zoe's to date or to lean on too hard, and seemed to be the brash sort of person that was surprisingly easily hurt, like her great-uncle Mercutio. But Zoe was also hard to get to know, and she couldn't discount that Jona wanted to be Zoe's closest friend.
