Outfit Not Found It took Mallowsweet a while to get over the portkey sickness. 'Honestly!' she thought, as she was finally able to follow the other students to the water. 'There has to be a better way of getting around. She had never been to the ocean before, and was more than a little overwhelmed at the sight. For a while she just stood, the wind tugging at her mane and tail, and stared at the vast horizon and the tumbling waves. One of the mermaids in Hogwarts lake had loaned Mallowsweet a bit of netting and shells that she assured the young centauress was perfect beach attire. Now Mallowsweet looked around a bit self consciously at the very different outfits everyone else was wearing.

Private Outfit Kiara finished eating her mango and slowly sucked the juice from her fingers. She stepped back out into the sun and wiggled her toes in the sand, watching the seagulls float about on the air currents. She noticed some feathers laying in the sand, picked them up, twirled them between her fingers, and tied them in her hair. Then she walked down towards the others. Callista's cat was of the most interest to her. She made a chirping sound in her throat and squatted down a little away from it, holding out her hand.

"I've only ever dived a couple of times before," Niamh replied, "and that was using a snorkle as we were on a Muggle beach in Egypt. But diving does sound like a good plan - I wonder what fish swim in the sea here." She turned away and cast a 'quick change' spell to be in a more suitable outfit for swimming, "last one in the sea's a Blast-ended Skrewt!"

"I'd never have thought of a wet suit," Paddy replied with a smile, that should definitely help keep my fur dry. Have you swum much before?" Paddy looked through the wetsuits before finding a purple one that caught her eye. "I've no idea if this is my size or not, but I'll try it on," she said before heading off to the changing area. After a short while, she reappeared looking triumphant, with a shorter hairstyle that would work better with the bubble head charm, "I didn't want to risk using magic to try it on," she admitted, "I figured I needed to know it fitted before I risked ripping it by it being too small!" Turning to the shop assistant, she added, "how much would this one be to rent, please?"

The smaller Hufflepuff finished their song and began laughing softly to themselves and to a small group of fish that had stopped to listen. A few of the larger ones rubbed his sides in a show of appreciation and attempts at an encore.

"I'm afraid that's all you'll get today, friends." They didn't have their normal studder because talking to people was much harder than it was to fish or animals. Toru brought a finger as close to their lips as they could with the Bubble-Head charm in a shushing motion. "Its our secret, ne?"

Mallowsweet trotted slowly to the water's edge, enjoying how the soft sand turned firm as she reached the shoreline. Several of the students were already splashing around in the water and she waved at the ones she recognized. , The salty water swirling around her fetlocks felt good, and she cantered through the surf, laughing in exhilaration. "Oui," She said to Flora with a wink. "Yes, I am French. And, actually, I color my 'air wiv potions zat I make and not spells. I can teach you some time, eef you are eenterested?"

Sauvage smirked at Drew, noticing the mischievous grin that played about his lips. "Oh. yes, I 'ad a wonderful break. Per'aps not at ze beginning, because my grandmozer was seeck. But, Fade came and visited so zat he could meet my grandmozer. Sankfully, she got better and zen I was able to spend most of ze summer wiv Fade." She smiled, thinking back on the memories of the summer. She felt so lucky to have gotten to spend all the time alone with him. "'ow was your break?" She asked.

"Oh," She smiled at the other girl she had not met. "Lena, eez eet? Nice to meet you. No, I 'ave not gone in zee water, yet. I 'ave mostly been admiring zee view so far and... 'onestly, I was 'oping zat Fade might show up late." She blushed, but underneat the sun it could have been mistaken for a sunburn blooming.

"RAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!" Jona's water-flinging grew in intensity and Duncan finally joined in now, bouncing in the water and chasing after the giggling kids. "WAH!" Jona must have mis-stepped somewhere along the way and slipped into a dip along the beach. With a final squeal a=of exclamation his whole hedad went under water, leaving only water ripples behind to show he was ever there.

"Okay then," Callista said, and held out her hand, though she had to let Sabrina down to do it. "Friends, Blade? Although I'm pretty sure I'm dark meat, personally," she joked.

This was very okay with Sabrina, who had had to go an entire ten minutes without getting up to any mischief.

"Anyhow, I'd love to meet your kitty sometime. I'm surprised you didn't bring Wisp, actually. Animals love to get out when it's safe to, and this seemed like a pretty safe location to me, given all the adults around and the wards against Muggles."

She glanced at the other kids; she hadn't meant to exclude them, though she didn't know all of them well. Niamh she remembered from the term they'd all spent at Ilvermorny, though not well--Niamh had been one of Tif's classmates at 4A back then. And everyone knew who Paddy was, she was kind of hard not to notice.

"Do I need a wetsuit for diving, or is that just because Paddy has fur? I think I'd like to go too. Maybe I can wash off this foot-in-mouth hex I seem to have contracted today, and at least I can't say anything dumb with a bubblehead charm on."

She turned and called out to Wayland. "Hey Wayland! Want to go swimming with the rest of us now that you're almost done eating! I'm pretty sure the thing about getting cramps is just an old story."

Sabrina was at a loss for what to do--it wasn't often that Callista left her unattended, because she liked people food a little too much, and because, being a serval rather than a normal cat, she sometimes scared people. She played for a moment with Callista's jewellery and shoes, which she'd left with her purse on her towel, but playing with Callista's jewellery wasn't nearly as interesting as it had seemed when Callista wasn't here to forbid it.

Then she noticed the other girl making noises in her direction, and padded over curiously.

“I’m looking forward to finding out,” Blade said. “Hopefully some nice corals in there too.” Then Niamh changed and he swallowed. He couldn’t deny she had a hot body. Blade didn’t follow right away. It was a good view he had.

“I like your outfit,” Magnus said to Mallowsweet as they walked to the store.

He smiled to Paddy as they crossed into the store and she found a suit that fit her. “Actually,” he said, “’ow much is it to buy?” The clerk quoted the price for buying and Magnus handed over the sum without flinching. “Now lets go swim!” He smiled. It would be nice to know she’s able to swim whenever she wanted to.

Suddenly Jona was gone and Zoe panicked. “JONA!!?!! JONA!!!” She dived under to see if he was okay.

“Friends,” Blade said shaking her hand. “Well I think you’d be too pretty to eat anyway.” He gave a little smirk. “I figured Wisp would hate it here and Claire, my hedgehog might get lost. If you get cold you might but depends on how deep you want to go.” When she called over Wayland, Blade nodded. “Well I better go for a bit. See you later.” He ran off to catch Niamh, with his red hair swishing as he ran. He met up with her as she was about to enter the water. “Later we could use some of the surfboards too if you want.”

Kiara watched the cat as it watched her. She had never seen a serval up close before, and it was certainly much bigger than your typical house cat. Kiara had seen her around the school, but never far from Callista, and she glanced her direction to make sure it was ok that she interacted with her pet. Everyone seemed to be getting ready to go down to the water, but Kiara was determined to pet the cat first. She clicked her tongue and was careful to not make direct eye contact, keeping her eyes half closed and a little glanced away. Direct eye contact, in cat language, would mean a challenge. And she certainly didn't intend to be bitten by the cat.

Sabrina padded closer, moving smoothly, at a relaxed pace, ears tilted forward, and sniffed Kiara. Then she looked up at her curiously.

Callista had called out to Wayland, but she didn't wait for an answer. She waded out into the water until it was up to her waist, then did the charm (a little nervously, because it wasn't one she did often--she was rarely on wizarding-only beaches) and dived in, looking for the other kids. She wasn't a strong swimmer and didn't intend to go too far from the shore.

Most of the time when she went to the beach, she was with girls who were more interested in being seen there than in exploring. They'd go wading, maybe toss a ball around, but if there were Muggles around, or if there were Muggles in the group, they couldn't dry their hair off properly if they got it wet. But Callista liked animals, and was wondering if she'd see any pretty fish or other creatures. Though she knew that it was unlikely, given that humans frequented this beach. Even witches and wizards disturbed things when they romped in the water and collected shells.

She was torn--should she follow the others, or swim further out where she would be less safe, but might see something interesting?

It was barely a few seconds before Zoe dived under the water to look for him. Jona presented her with a big cheesy grin under water and waved hello absurdly slow due to the water's density.

Millie laughed at how everyone was asking Sauvage () to apply their sunblock. "I don't know why they all asked you but that's pretty funny." so commented moving her long hair out of the way. "Thank you. I appreciate it. I'l need more later"

After she let the sunblock soak in, she headed towards the water. She found Magnus, Zoe, Blade (), Turo () (and everyone else. I'm so far behind). "Sorry. I wanted to make sure my sunblock wouldn't wash off."

As she walked in, she noticed Drew () "Hey Drew! I haven't seen you in ages. How are you?"

"Eet was no problem." Sauvage smiled and was happy to stand after applying Millie's sunscreen. "Shall we go in ze water?" She asked Drew, Flora, and Lena as she began walking to the shore where the others lingered. She waved at everyone, equally happy to see all of them having fun.

Millie smiled at Sauvage () "Yes, that would be wonderful!" As the two walked down together, she took in the sights and who else was there. She was so happy to see so many of her friends on this holiday

Zoe was immensely relieved and grabbed him in a hug. She was glad they were in water, it hid tears. She smiled to him.

Now Millie arrived, as well as Callista. Zoe waved at the two girls. "Welcome to the water," she said sounding official."

Blade was now happily in the water, planning on diving with Nimah and anyone else who wanted to join them. He loved the ocean.

"Letting it dry is wise," Magnus said to Millie. "I'm so pale I used a sunblocking potion."

Lorcan chuckled lightly as the girl() in front of him mentioned her 'usual standards'. "I see", he responded and and placed the coconut in his left hand to shake Lenore's offered hand with his right hand. There was no reason to forget about being polite just because they were at the beach. "Hello Lenore. I'm Lorcan", he introduced himself and pondered for a small moment before going on, "Lorcan William Tierney." Normally, he didn't mention his full name when meeting new people, but this girl seemed particularly posh sitting here with a canopy. However, the name wasn't probably known by too many as he never attended any social gathering where his family was invited.

Elizabeth wasn't keen on going swimming already, although she was wearing a swimming dress was fit for water. She shuddered a little thinking about what could be lurking under water so she remained at the buffet. Noticing a red-haired girl she recognised from the Slytherin Common Room joining the buffet, she smiled at her. () "Hello Parker. How do you do? That's a lovely swimsuit!"

"Hi," said Callista. "Are you okay now, Zoe? I'm sorry if I upset you. I wasn't trying to upset you. Just... make conversation."

Magnus' comment amused her. "Everyone needs sunblock; I just put mine on before we left. I can get sunburnt too. It just doesn't show as much, unless it's so bad that it peels."

She glanced at the shore to see what Sabrina was doing. Sabrina was sniffspecting a girl that Callista didn't know. But the girl wasn't bothered by it, so nothing to worry about.

"Have we done any diving yet? Is there anything pretty to see? And where did Toru get off to?"

"Ahh, the water is lovely." Millie said. "Hmm, a sun blocking potion. I think I may need that, especially if I get assigned somewhere hot when I become a curse breaker. The thought of possibly going to Egypt is both exciting and terrifying."

Millie smiled when she saw Mallowsweet () standing at the shoreline. She gave a smile and a wave. "Aw, she looks so nice and happy." she said to no one in particular.

Millie noticed, more like felt something between Jona () and Zoe (). She hoped her big sunglasses hid her questioning look. She gave Zoe a warm smile when she felt her mood change into sadness. She wanted to ask if she was okay but didn't want to put her on the spot, especially in front of everyone.

She heard Callista () something about going diving, "that would be amazing. I haven't been diving since Croatia"

While standing with her friends, she felt the mood of the group change from the initial excitement to surprised curiosity. It seemed like everyone was checking each other out in the bathing suits except her. Maybe because everyone knows about Emmett.... but it would still be nice to be seen as attractive... She sighed and started to shift her weight back and forth and starting playing with her hair like she did when she was anxious. "Maybe I should have worn the one piece." she mumbled to herself.

"You look nice, though," said Callista to the girl who was wondering about her suit. "I haven't seen the onepiece, but the suit you're wearing is fine."

It was always weird remembering that while a onepiece was a dress in lolita fashion, it was a swimsuit to the rest of the world. She wasn't sure the yellow showed off the girl's complexion as well as it might have done, but it wasn't bad.

"Does everyone have their makeup charmed not to run in the water?"
