There is some logic in my brain that is missing when it comes to the battles, so bear with me please? Pollie is a tier 8 fighter, I am using to try to battle Umbris. Can't beat it. Even when he was down and Pollie still has 600 HP left, we tied. All the things I can use to beat him are in the tens of millions of points. eqipped with: Freezewand of Doom, Ice Rose

an infinite healer is what it sounds like, an infinite use weapon or scroll with healing. For instance your trident gives 7% healing, and there are some non-once-per-battle scrolls that heal.

I'd pick up a Recycle Blaster to go with your Soma and take out two of his weapons. It's very cheap and will be useful forever.

Make sure you have pylonics equipped - Regenerating will boost your stats a bit, Negating will block everything for one round.

Your set does a wide spread of icons, which is usually good but with Umbrus you really want to focus on doing a lot of one or two types as he can block small amounts of everything. MrCool's blog suggests Frost Thorn paired with your Ice Rose, and that's pretty cheap if you make it yourself - it's a genetech combo, Bladed Throwing Feathers + Mystical Icicle. It'd give you a good chunk of ice icons for under 2 mill.

Dark's his main attack, followed by fire, so look at your scrolls and shuffle out any that aren't helping you block, heal or stack more ice damage - freezing doesn't work against him so there's no point in trying freezing scrolls or weapons. Fatal Fire isn't too expensive (2.7 mill) and blocks a lot of dark and fire.

Everything else I could suggest would cost a lot more.
