He is really tough. I was using very expensive scrolls - TA, GotF (x3) for healing. My pet is also an uneven build so even though he is mid T11, he has the strength and health of a T12 pet so I am able to last longer and do more damage per round against his heal.

I used cronus and ME, both modded with two crit strikes. That and my speed seemed to be what helped the most. What I don't like about this challenger is it involved no strategy, just keep clicking and maybe you win. I didn't feel like that with other challengers except for careapier and the mage. However, the mage just had the one weapon you had to hope he never used.

Id really love to know what weapons people are using on Devora.

I don’t think it’s that different than most challengers, really the only difference is the shear difficulty of it and the fact that most of us that are struggling are capped and have nowhere to go up from. Mechanically, this really feels no difference than prodigy at 79 wins to me. You click forever until you win or lose.

The strategy has always been in the prep in the bc. I think this challenger just really hammered it home in a way most people haven’t experienced in a while. (Ie high str pets having a massive advantage)

Chrono's way too similar to Careaper on Friday the 13th: Stall = Belly Slam (blocker) Freeze Time = Hard Stare (freezer) Time Heals All Wounds = Huge Snarl (healer) All Out of Time = (any other high damage attacker)

Careaper's meant to be luck based, and it's hard to see your progress during battle when it's going like a yoyo. This is not what we're looking for in a typical challenger.

I had no idea how hard Pumgpulnug was until I tried to take it on with a T5 who can only freeze twice. Holy crap.

ETA: From reading the conversation, it looks like after I get to T8 with Quacksalot I'll probably make him a high strength pet.

I used ME and Paintbrush Blades (my current default) against Devora and didn't have any trouble. Also freezing as much as possible could help.

I don't really know what specific icons they do though, I wasn't paying much attention sorry. :(

Only thing I know for sure is she does a lot of light icons.

I just realized you can equip more than one of the same scroll if you want to use OPB scrolls several times... :O 😩 Learning something new every day haha xD

Update: no questionable networks up this morning :( Only saw “rogue access point” and “the promised lan”. I am dissappointed after yesterday’s wifi festivities.

I've been generally using my secondary battle pets as a way to get more fifth win loot but recently I've decided to put more effort into getting them stronger. Taking a look at their statistics, soooo many 5s. It looks like I have myself a little project now to catch them all up.

I was also wanting to keep Dampness as a high level T1 so she was being kept at three points away from T2. I got an egg and went to use it on her, figuring one more point won't hurt. Nope, one point in each of four stats. Damn it. Looks like someone else is going to get that job now.

There are stat leeches in the Battle Shop for 10 medium tokens each, just in case you weren't aware :D

Second pet has been doing very well with Carrion Lord... I forgot that if you're careful you can take this thing on with a tier 8. I've just been lazy is all and more so just focusing on Cynde. But it's nice to get wins in with the other. Once things calm I DO need to use Unmask to get back to the grind of amulet and tome farming.

20 battles against Nightlady so far and I've only gotten 1 Shriek, from my 19th win overall.

those of you with multiple pets you're bringing up, how do you decide who does bqs?

I BQ the hardest to train that's not a tier 13 or give the first 20 quests to a 'baby' pet (tier 6-8) and the rest to a high tier 11-12.
