Yeah once you get to 10 wins, you will get an achievement that drops the item to unlock the next phase. The forj drops the gift of the forj scroll on win 5. Meatslab the furious gives you baal through an achievement, crithbolcan now drops the aftershocks scroll through an achievement, same with cinthilocks and the bear head bomb, and mutant scientist and the unstable syringe. Prakherash, Tatuvichwa, and Warlgthroth just give a lot of experience. Tatuvichwa is actually super easy for the amount of exp he gives. I'm pretty sure I got a majority of my wins on him at T10

Tatuvichwa also awards the Triple Threat Scroll through an achievement, which has some healing like Aftershocks but it defends against some different icons. So it can be useful in certain cases.

Although apparently that scroll is super cheap now, so you could just buy one without the challenger.

The Destroyed Research File Cabinet and Bloody Summoning tomes are what unlock the next challengers that eventually give you the scrolls and weapons right? Or are they just the next step? I'm just looking at achievements and prizes...

I think last year was the year I missed out on quite a few challengers. I need to see what I am missing. Can't afford them anyway but that is ok.

The destroyed cabinet is for mad scientist that will then drop the item to unlock mutant scientist. The bloody summoning altar acts the same way for meatslab

I'd say at least get Crithbolcan, so you can get an Aftershocks scroll. :) You should be able to beat him right away and that scroll is great. Meatslab, Forj & Mutant Scientist are in the shop all year round and none of the challengers will be on sale, so you can focus on buying some that aren't usually available. :3

I am, but I'd probably have bought them all even if I was only training up one. This site is one of my hobbies so I don't mind dropping some money on it each month. Unfortunately one of my other hobbies is Magic The Gathering, so the money I have to spend here is more limited than it otherwise would be. :)
