My fave vacation spot was Kyoto in Japan! I was lucky enough to go over the new year, so it was stunning! Thailand is also really beautiful. Where are you going?

will be going to going to a few national parks soon c: very excited! mainly utah/arizona. that sounds absolutely amazing, i've always wanted to back to taiwan, hongkong or japan during the new years.

I've been to Japan and Singapore for New Years! Japan was just... astounding. We actually got to ring in the new year with a giant log and there was just a gentle dusting of snow, then we went to a festival. I had my first drink there. The other people I was with (Australian people who lived in Japan) just told me to walk into a 7/11 and grab an Asahi. Then we went to a festival.

Singapore had the most AMAZING fireworks and I went with my mother. In order to give us the best seats, the locals lifted my mother's electric wheelchair (about 60kgs without her in it) down about six steps, and carried her back up after about an hour of fireworks. It was a really beautiful experience!

I'd love to visit America's national parks, they look SO beautiful! We have some great forests here, but they aren't like the pictures you see of the ones in the US. I'm not sure if going to America or back to Japan is my next goal, but it's one of the two!

Where else have you been to? What were Taiwan and HK like?

<3 omg that is lovely. I actually find locals in asian countries to be a lot friendlier to tourists than the united states. I definitely had singapore on my bucket list...So i've been to Phillipines, Taiwan, HK, Japan, China. I don't rememeber the first and last one that well since I was young. I think Taiwan and Phillipines were definitely the friendliest of the bunch though. They tried to scam me in Hong Kong until I told them I knew chinese.

Ahh which national park though? There's just too many to choose and my goal is to go hit all of them haha.

I went to the US when I was young, I'd LOVE to go again and do a road trip.

I'll have to mark down Taiwan and Philippines as travel goals! I've always wanted to go because of the food, but they get moved up higher on my priority list when it comes to friendly locals. Also LOL there HAS to be a bigger story behind the scamming in HK; what happened?

I think Yosemite is the biggest touristy thing that comes to mind. It looks sooo beautiful. But like I said, I'd love to do a whole road trip, maybe even coast to coast with my bestie. We've been talking about it for nearly ten years, but now we're both starting to save up, so I'd love to see as many parks as possible, and Cali's redwoods!
