Hi, I hope I still have time to ask for a special ability and that I am explaining it well enough.

Username: - Amdir_tithen Character name: - Magdalena Hidalgo, Lena for short Character's age and year: - 15 years old / 5th year Character's house: - Slytherin Special ability: - Can see auras Character's special ability background: While in Japan, Lena studied with a private tutor for a little over three years who had the ability and that tutor taught Lena. Any additional features/variances of the special ability: This is not an passive ability, most of the time. Lena has to center herself to let her senses extend. When she first started to learn, she loved it. All the colors seemed almost like music to the young girl. Once puberty hit, and all those wonderful changes, Lena found it harder to sort her own aura from what she was reading around her. This was a big frustration for her. Now, Lena is usually able to separate the two but if she isn't centered the task is harder and sometimes unreliable. What she sees can be thought of as intent, positive or negative, though that can be misleading since there could be positive intent in the mind of a person or spell that is meant to cause harm.

I really hope I don't confuse this more.

Hmm, genetic ... I guess, if I think about it, yes, there must be some part of it that is genetic. It's more of a learned predisposition, the way some people are just good at math while others struggle. If "math people" didn't take classes in math they would never have known they were good at it. If Lena wouldn't have moved and been tutored by someone who had the skill to read auras, she wouldn't have known she could either. In Lena's view everyone should be able to read auras, just like everyone should be able to understand linear equations, Though as we all know that's not reality. Math is evil, or so I have been told.

Lena's mom finds the skill useful and will practice with Lena, though Lena, having started at a younger age, is better at the more subtle changes in color. Her dad smiles and is supportive but really sees no value in the art, business-wizard all the way.

Empath ... I think an empath is always "on" and would need to learn to turn "off" the ability. Lena has to focus, 99% of the time, for the auras to be at all useful, though some things are so powerful they push their colors outward making it hard to miss.

Seer ... they receive images of the future. Auras are colors that help tell an object or person's intent, feelings, state of mind.

Username: Character name: Ylva Blackmane Character's age and year:17, 6th year Character's house: Ravenclaw Special ability:Animagus Character's special ability background: She was always fascinated by wolves. Her ancestors were Ulfhednar, Norse warriors who fought like wolves. In her dreams, she was always accompanied by them or by wolves. The closest she could get was becoming an animagus. Any additional features/variances of the special ability: Yellowy eyes. Her wolf-forms fur is brown with black manes and a black fluffy ridge over the shoulders, like Hyena fluff. In real life she's also brown hair with a stroke of black from the back of her head to her neck.

My character has has the same ability since the beginning of my wizarding here. Her name is Aria Quin-Lee and she has inherited Occlumens in Gryffindor. I see her on the list so I am not sure if I need to add her again?

Username: Raven Character name: Blade Edwards Character's age and year: 15. Year 5 Character's house: Hufflepuff Special ability: Animgus--thestral Character's special ability background: Blade was homeschooled in magic prier to coming to Hogwarts. He's advanced in transfiguration as well. (At the Ugandan school Uagadou, students can master the complex Transfiguration by age 14) Blade was kicked out by his parents before the end of the winter term. He was pretty sure he would become a thestral after seeing his patronus, so becoming one would have offered him a better chance at having somewhere to stay warm, find shelter and food.

Username: Character name: Gwendolyn Hayes Character's age and year: 16, 6th year Character's house: Ravenclaw Special ability: Metamorphmagus Character's special ability background: She was born with it. She first displayed it at a very young age, starting with her coloring and features changing without warning. As she got older, she learned to control it, and now uses it to change her hair and eye color regularly. She is already excelling at her mastery of the ability and will soon be able to almost effortlessly change her entire appearance. Any additional features/variances of the special ability: None
