I like the idea because yay more battle challengers, but I don&;t see this happening. Staff already release a new CS challenger every month, a new friendly Thursday challenger every month and bring back old CS challengers during black Friday
Not sure I totally understand the argument here- could you clarify? This suggestion wouldn't be creating any additional new opponents (outside of the Friend/Foe challengers we're getting now). It would simply unretire the old items that you use to unlock the CS challengers. So, it wouldn't be any additional work for the staff (outside of just adding the items to the cash shop). (Perhaps I'm just reading too much into the "yay more battle challengers" part of your statement.)

Releasing them again on a monthly basis would be greatly unfair to the battlers who have been faithfully purchasing the challengers each month.
As for this... I'm confused here. As and previously noted- I don't understand how this would be unfair to anyone. There are no discounts being applied- it's the same price to buy the items in 2018 as it was in 2013. There currently are no active "rewards" for loyalty or faithfulness. In 2013, you were given the Mad Scientist for collecting all 12, but even he could be unlocked through a permanent CS item.

So, if the argument is that you think it's more than enough that they're released for BF, then okay. But otherwise, I'm stumped.

In part responding to 's point- yes, I agree that it is fair that the items are unretired during the BF sale. My suggestion, would hope to bring something better to the table. Staff do bring back the items- that is a relief. It's just, after 5 full years of this, there are getting to be a lot. It's 52 individual summoning items (plus an additional 6 unlocking on top of that.) That is a lot to save for a single week in November...

If nothing else, I think this would make it more fair to everyone. The people who didn't have the funds 5 years ago to purchase the challengers. The people who didn't realize 5 years ago that they wanted to battle in the future. The people 5 years ago who DID buy the items, but realize, they want another for the wardrobe! And this would help all the people who have joined the site <5 years ago- it's hard enough to catch up, so why not balance things out a little? Releasing them all for a single week in November forces people to choose. It's the question, "do I want to spend $140 on challengers this week?" Vs a monthly unretirement, "Can I budget for $10 a month?"

I was thinking more of just the number of challengers they want to make available every month. Granted, they release them all anyway on Black Friday but that's just for a few days for the sale, not for the whole month. Maybe the number of CS items they release each month doesn't matter though.

Haha I just said that because I always like to see when they release challengers (new or old).

Haha, that's fair. :) I guess there could be a kind of "golden number" that exists behind the scenes for monthly cash shop items. (Though, if they haven't gone over that quota this month with the noses and now Vanity, then who knows! :P)

im for it~ im not a battler yet, but actually one of the biggest reasons ive been procrastinating becoming one is because ive already missed out on so many opponents and they all keep expiring 'for forever' so quickly. it feels kinda like trying to step onto a speeding treadmill; you have to either devote yourself to it like a career every single month, or lose your chance basicly forever and just get thrown off and left behind, just because you werent here at the very beginning and/or had to spend your money on something else that month. and right now the only way to catch up is if you happen to have tons of funds available on a single day of the entire year... which is extra unlikely considering that on black friday, theres so many other things the money is going to as well. ultimately, it makes it feel like too much of a clusterfuck to deal with. makes it feel more like a weighty commitment than a fun game.

tl;dr: since nothing* would be lost in this change other than the 'buy it now or never' stress, and it makes devoted battling far more attainable ((and therefor fun)) to people, im totally for it. ^^

* unless of course subeta is using the whole 'release them only on BF' thing so the site can get a surge of income on that day... that could be lost if they make this change. but i think that can also be easily replaced by just offering them all on BF as usual, just at a discount?

While I have all the CS Challengers, I support this because there are some I would like to get for wardrobe.

I also still think this would be a good idea. There are so many Cash Shop challengers now, and it doesn't seem like we're going to stop getting even more monthly ones any time soon.

I don't really see why it needs to be on a per month basis. They could just set it up like the bonus weekend item shop.

Only being available on black friday is a huge barrier to anyone trying to come back after a long break. I remember at one point I came back in December, wanted to catch up on the number of challengers I had missed over 2-3 years and just got frustrated and quit again.

Only being available on black friday also requires a lot of planning, and probably decreases sales overall as people evaluate if they really do want that Tier 2 challenger that doesn't drop any great loot.

I like this idea because often times, I want the item for my wardrobe. It would be nice to have the option to buy them later on.

I support this idea for reasons other have pointed out.

The site needs newer players to stay interested so this could be one area which gives them encouragement to keep going.

I definitely support this, mostly because I don't reliably have any money to spare for Black Friday but may have a little spare change during other parts of the year.

I see ZERO reason to not support this.

Please, devs. Do this already! Several old challenger items are almost extinct outside of Black Friday! And those challenger hold valuable loot as well, you know? Monthly donation/collections are perfectly balanced and fair. So should be battle challengers!
